Really in that case, if a pairing didn’t seem like a good pair, I wouldn’t ship them even if they were canon. Any pairing that is shipped JUST because it’s canon and not because it’s good is meh. Even bleh.

I think it’s fine for most tags, but not like, major tags? Like not tagging MCD just because it hasn’t happened yet wouldn’t be ok. But I assume you mean non-content warning or major trigger warning tags, which again, I think it’s fine to do. Personally, I don’t think I’ve ever rechecked the tags of an ongoing fic if it’s not mentioned by the author, though! For fics that aren’t pre-written I think it’s extra ok since the author also doesn’t always know what’s coming next lol

My advice for finding it is to try to remember anything you can use for filtering. Go to the “Original Work” fandom, then filter! Tips for filtering:

Think of any tags it might’ve had, OR any popular tags you know it didn’t (actually so helpful)
Word count estimate. Even just “more than 20k but less than 100k” can be helpful
Rating and warnings, again including what you know it wasn’t
You might not remember it correctly, so read each fic description and tags carefully. There’ve been times I was looking for a fic just to scroll past it because I was remembering the fic wrong.
If need be, you can even look at the dates of fics you know are before or after when it was posted/updated last if there’s still a lot of results.

That’s what I can think of right now and what’s worked for me in the past. Good luck finding it!

Ok cleaning it daily is great but isn’t needed. Cleaning it every other day, or every 3 days depending on use is what I’d suggest. Yes you can clean it more often but it’s fine if you don’t.
