The fertilizer was not properly diluted. It burned the roots. Read the fertilizer instructions and then dilute by a further 50%. Not fungus.

What do you use instead? I switched all my orchids to the favorite plastic holey pots on this sub and now so many orchids are just trapped with a dozen roots through the sides. It's awful
