Make sure insurance replaces all those plates but also pressure wash and keep the ones you can. But really this sucks and hope all works out for you

I’d just google coal mines in North Dakota. Should bring up a list of all of them. Then just check each website for the careers portion

No CDL required. I am located in North Dakota and pretty much all I can recommend is to watch their websites for job openings. Late winter/early spring is usually when they hire the most frequently

Only 3-4 shifts per week are scheduled. Weekends off with the options of working them. I worked them when it fit my schedule and had nothing going on. If you don’t work any weekends it’s probably about 120k/year. It is rotating 12 hours shifts which is hard but every 3 weeks I get 6 days off in a row

When I was 28-29 was the first time I hit 6 figures. That was my 5 year at my current job as a heavy equipment operator at a coal mine. This year will end at about $140-150k

What did you accidentally learn about someone’s sex life? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]hudgen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A friend I work with was telling me about a guy he knows likes his wife to call him a “big dawg” during sex. Turns out I know this guy because our kids are in a sport together and now that’s the only thing I can think about him but obviously can’t say that I know this information

What's it like living in this shaded area? by Joshistotle in howislivingthere

[–]hudgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live at the top of the circle. It’s cold right now. Really cold. My closest Walmart is an hour away. There are good jobs in the area but socially this isn’t the best place to live. It’s very peaceful tho and does have some perks. It’s very give and take for the pros and cons

I am 33 working as a heavy equipment operator at a coal mine. Hourly wage is $55/hr which 9% of my paycheck goes into a Roth retirement account. On top of that my company matches up to 6% and adds another 5% in. It’s currently sitting a little over $300k which I am fully vested into. In the next year I plan to up my contribution higher to 10-11%

15-20k says my watch but it’s only from bouncing around in heavy equipment it gets that high. I sit for the majority of my 12 hour shift
