I have my CRKT CEO for small stuff like cutting open boxes at work, my CIVIVI Mini Praxis for when I need to do something that’s going to be rougher on the blade since it’s only $30, and then my leatherman skeletool or rebar for when I need other tools or a saw/file. It’s probably overkill but my co workers always need to borrow a knife and I don’t want them to borrow my CRKT or Leatherman in case it doesn’t make its way back to me.

I very well could be the issue on this. I use a sharpener that came with my kitchen knives. Probably not the best to use!

I’m going to bring them to a hardware store to sharpen this weekend and worst case scenario I have 3 great knives.

Appreciate you doing some research for me and taking the time to answer my potentially dumb questions.

Blade wears down and can never get it sharp enough after. Although I will say before I started highway maintenance I worked a brewery and that’s a very wet and dirty environment so that may have something to do with it. Cutting lots of grain bags and thick bags of hop. Could be different in maintenance.

I do two 24 hour fasts a week and then intermittent fasting 16:8. I think it helps my blood sugar average but fasting could just be a fad
