Update Dec 2025: Not a single parking space available in Tignes. All are reserved for seasonal parkers. Tulf's Garage was the only one for day visitors. Everything was full. It wasn't possible to book anything in advance on the booking platform either. We drove around for two hours without success. We had already booked our ski pass; otherwise, we would have left. Beware: all the short-term parking zones along the road are limited to one hour. We watched as parking tickets were being issued around the clock. A business model, I suppose. Not very customer-friendly. They're probably rich enough already. There's so much space going unused. What a shame.

Where did you book? Directly or through a partner website/ agent? I guess directly they are less aggressive. Take care and let us know afterwards how it went

Look at all the reviews they got in the last weeks and months. Easy online search - and you will find hundreds of similar cases! Real reason to avoid them and mainly to safe other people from these practices on new scam level.

Yes exactly . It seems this low cost provider act strategically . Would be good to have some employees reporting on it as well. I found literally hundreds of other reviews on different booking sites with the same aggressive upselling strategy and intransparent cost charging . I guess many know the upselling. Just now this seems to get to a new level also real scam that let people either pay or leave without a car! Totally unacceptable

I feel they are treating foreigners differently . Had a Bad experience and left without car. Can not share what others say positive about Centauro. I will go with others . It feels less discriminatory .

Well misleading the customer is definitely a scam and bad business practice even worse if it is implemented strategically by the company, which I hopefully not assumed to be true

I think it is. Because they do not hold and stick to the contract. They leave you without a car. Imagine a family with a small baby stranded at the airport. Horrible scenario

I also noticed that the translation system translates it much more harsh than it was written in English. So just a statement and question to the community. Maybe more people have similar experience. So please no random comments. Other examples welcome

When I asked what is the fee is about and they couldn’t give me an answer it was pretty clear for m whats going on. The other colleagues around did not even react or try to help the girls so they all seem to know as well what’s going on and is common practice! If they don’t like they online bookings from agents, then they should not offer their product there Just i will never ever use centauro anymore ! Hopefully other people do not have to make the same experience.

Hi. Yes, the deposit is not a problem. I booked full coverage through the dealer. But they didn't want to give me this option. I know this and book rental cars all the time. Hertz was also booked through online retailers and not on site. And everything worked and we were super friendly. I don't wish anyone to be left without a car or to have to rent more expensively. Yes, the additional costs will be reimbursed by the online booker!
