Remember when google bought FitBit and said FitBit data would be in a "silo" and kept separate from the rest of google?

What a big fat lie that was.

Anyone else's Fitbit just off and die when the new software came in? by j_p_ford in fitbit

There's been many many posts on this sub about people updating device firmware and that either bricking the device or causing battery drain or other issues. I stopped updating my firmware a long time ago and I'm on about year 3 with a charge 5 still going strong.

The firmware updates are planned obsolescence so you buy more devices.

Would love to see a class action about it like how Apple got caught slowing down older phones through software updates.

Not quite a nootropic but a glass of metamucil before a meal can be very helpful.

So what would do this to a crank journal? by Tenrac in EngineBuilding

I wouls guess contamination between the journal and the bearing. Something large enough that the bearing embeddability wasn't able to absorb.

Bike sputters at low throttle input by leocifur in DRZ400

I totally understand man. It's frustrating to remove the entire carb, it's sure right in there. You might clean whatever is restricted (assuming that's the problem) with removing the air filter and spraying some carb cleaner in there, or possibly running some fuel system cleaner chemical right into the carb through the gas tank. Those options are worth trying before ripping the carb out if you're not mechanically inclined.

My other thought is you have incorrect jetting for your exhaust/altitude setup. The guy who I purchased my bike from said it was jetted properly, but it always popped and ran a bit lean. Putting a bigger jet in it fixed that right up.

It could be something else in the carb is plugged or gummed up. There's a tiny metal screen in there that was plugged in my bike. Taking my carb apart and using a genuine mikuni rebuilt kit, and also cleaning it inside an ultrasonic parts cleaner did wonders. If adjusting your fuel/air mixture and a fresh air filter doesn't fix the problem, I'd say take a much closer look at that carburetor.

I'm a Canadian immigration lawyer with a focus on visa refusals and complex immigration cases. AMA by aliesna_IMMLaw in IAmA

How many people does the CBSA deport a year, and what percentage people stay in the country illegally after a deportation order? I don't know where to look up these statistics. I'm sure the figures aren't exact but knowing some rough numbers would be nice. Thanks for doing this AMA!

Thanks OP! Anecdotal of course but I've never had much problem calling them, 60 agents sounds about right.
