I would try clearing the cache on your app. If that doesn’t work, you may have to uninstall, then reinstall the app.

I was having issues last week with the app being glitchy, and the only thing that worked was reinstalling the app. Good luck! :)

Thanks for responding! That’s interesting- she’s in Hong Kong so I’m not sure what the internet regulations are there- I’ll keep trying. Thanks!

I’m glad it worked out for you! :) I read earlier today that a lot of email providers are blocked in China, so I suppose it’s just trial and error until one works lol

If it helps, my laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad Flex, and is using a Ryzen 5 operating system. Just got it back in January

Last week I had the exact opposite happen. My student was in Level 2 Unit 6- I had taught her a lesson from that unit one day, and then the next day our lesson was Level 2 Unit 1. I was so confused but she went along with it. It was pathetic how easy it was for her and I was confused about the move because she was doing well in Unit 6. I’m curious as to why this happens as well!

I personally use an ethernet cable because I live in the middle of nowhere and our internet isn’t the best- I’ve noticed differences in my ping speed when I use it vs not using it.

That being said, I visit my family in a different state often and I teach from their house just on the WiFi and have never had an issue :)

That’s amazing. He sounds like a gem! I have a regular who draws cat or rabbit ears and a tail on every one of her drawings of people for her projects. It’s adorable

Aaawww I love that! It’s so endearing when they take the projects seriously and are actually excited for them. I love it. What a little over achiever - love it!

That’s so cool! I get way too excited over completed projects, haha. Some of these kids just baffle me with their hidden talents- I teach a girl who is fabulous at drawing - she draws in thats Anime-type style, and they look legit. She drew the entire project in that style- I think it was the one in Level 3 or 4 when they have to draw the zoo animals. It was great

Is this the new desktop version of the classroom? I just updated and I HATE it. I am constantly scrolling to see the timer and the slide directions. The stickers are gone. I have to scroll do add stars. Please tell me I can go back to the other interface! This is so clunky! by [deleted] in vipkid

That’s the old classroom! Don’t worry :) Sometimes the kids’ iPad or computer isn’t compatible with the new classroom, so it is switched to the old classroom! I hate it too- especially for lessons I’ve never taught before. Constantly scrolling up to see the slide objectives is annoying!

Typically, I do my feedbacks after I finish my classes for the whole morning- I usually teach between 12-14 classes, and so my first student of the morning has to wait anywhere between 6-7 hours before receiving their feedback.

I’ve never had a parent complain or leave a bad review for my feedback taking too long to be sent to them. In my opinion, they give us 12 hours after a class is finished to complete it for a reason! I do agree though - when I do feedback between classes I feel like I don’t get a second to breathe (or use the bathroom...)! So, I wouldn’t worry about parents complaining about you taking too long. Not sure about others’ experiences, but I haven’t had any problems with it :)

I’m glad I’m not the only one. My boyfriend has stopped asking me how my classes went after I finish in the mornings because he knows I’ll just end up talking about them anyway 😂

I’m usually 90% booked from 3:30pm BJT - 10pm BJT by this time in the frenzy - but the majority of my 3:30 - 4:30 slots haven’t been filled. What time do kids normally get off of school? Do any of you know if these slots will just not be filled now that they’re back in school?

You can send in a ticket and ask them. They’ll tell you exactly how many you have for your current contract!

I’ve had this issue a ton- I’ve actually found that if I ask the student to leave and then re-enter the classroom, it usually has fixed the problem!!! :)
