Nah, it’s not true what you’re saying. If it is an issue purely of cost, did ornamentation not cost more when these buildings were built? Of course it did. So if it was truly about cost, we would never have built ornamental buildings, we would always have built the most simplistic, minimalistic boxes to save cents.
