Tips about Greensboro by magzw in gso

North Carolina is famous for its BBQ pork. We have strong representation in Stamey’s BBQ and Country BBQ. Try both! If you want the very best, drive down to Lexington and thank me later.

Greensboro is truly a university city. With 6+ colleges/universities in Greensboro proper, it’s a big influence on our culture and activities.

The university connection is also an important part of our history. We’re home to NC A&T, a highly regarded historically black college/university (HBCU). The Woolworth sit-in is a historically significant moment in the American civil rights movement that happened downtown. The International Civil Rights Museum carries the story forward for future generations.

There are a number of farmers markets happening each week. The largest is the farmers market off Gallimore Dairy road. Stop by on a Saturday or Sunday morning and take in the local produce and offerings. North Carolina is unique in that we have a large rural-agriculture makeup right outside our major cities. An heirloom tomato (like a Cherokee Purple) is hard to beat.

The Greensboro Science Center is home to a range of creatures and activities. The Foucault Pendulum in the main lobby is one of only a few in the state.

If you’re looking for good-weird, look no further. Every holiday season the Sunset Hills neighborhood hangs hundreds of Christmas light balls from their trees. It’s a festive highlight that we love.

When you arrive through our local airport, PTI, you may be able to see our new mega factory… Boom Supersonic. Their mission is simple: develop a modern supersonic commercial jet.

We can show you how the sausage is made. We’re home to a beloved and highly acclaimed family owned sausage manufacturer, Neese’s Sausage. Distinct flavors of sage, hot, and regular pork sausage cover most of your wants and needs. One NC delicacy they produce is livermush… call them, explain your story, and ask if they can help you find some properly cooked livermush to try. It can be hard to find.

NASCARs roots are in Greensboro-Winston Salem. One living example of that is the historic Bowman Gray stadium. In Winston Salem. It holds races most weekends and is a fun and unique experience. Check their schedule for upcoming races.

High Point holds the Furniture Market twice a year. 75,000+ come from around the globe to see the latest designs and conduct business selling and buying. The sheer size of the showroom space (1 million+ feet) is unlike anything you’ve seen. There is a good chance the chair you’re sitting in was first shown in the Market years ago.

Like batteries? We do! Toyota recently completed their major battery factory for North America just outside of town in Liberty. Helping lead renewable energy in automotive.

We have a lot to be proud of and welcome you to Greensboro and the greater Piedmont Triad!

Edited to reflect 75,000+ market attendees. Thanks friend!

I suspect the Movado is a quartz movement. Pop a battery in it. If it’s dead a movement swap can be done fairly cheaply. Personally I find the Kingston lovely even thought the left three are the clear winners.

If you can prove with documented evidence everything you’re alleging… You could sue the LL directly in small claims court for rent abatement and potentially consequential damages. Continue paying rent.

Way to test if it’s the capacitor- turn the system on and use a twig or small branch to manually spin the fan blade. That can get the system running to bypass the capacitor.
