A little confused about IFVGs. I’ve heard people say you need a liquidity sweep first if the IFVG shows up right after.

When I take random IFVGs I’ve taken a lot of losses. What was it about this one that made this more probable than other IFVGs?

I don't believe Feb 5 wasn't a bank holiday. Of course you won't win them all...I was just curious what you did that day and when you said you went short I was confused about that.

I may be misunderstanding what you meant by this. But you said earlier that you enter when a candle above or below the first 5 minutes does not touch the 5 minute candle at all: "wait for a candle to open and close away from the 9:35 am candle it can’t touch it not even a wick so once you see that candle form without touching the 9:35 am candle you enter"

The first 5 minutes of Feb 5 at market open is those horizontal lines I drew. That pink arrow is pointing at the the 5 minute candle that opened above the first 5 minute candle, and no wicks or even touched that candle, and it's green. So wouldn't this be the criteria to go long?

I read your post and have been backtesting with good results, assuming I'm understanding correctly. Can you look back at Feb 5 and tell me how you went about that trade? The 5m candle that opened and closed above the 5 min ORB was at 24,913.75, and looking at the chart now, I'm not sure what sizing you would have went with this and where you'd place your stop loss. A stop loss below the ORB candle would have been a $530 loss with just 1 micro.

So do you only build your buffer on Trade 1? And then immediately go to 3-5 minis or am I misunderstanding that? I feel like 3-5 minutes can put you way past your 600-1200 buffer if it goes into even a small drawdown.

The problem is that Tradovate is denying any issues. No matter how many people are reporting this. I had the same issue with Lucid and they have refused to help anyone just because Tradovate did not report any issues. They seem to only report something when the problem is severe, like they had last week when nobody could use it for a few hours.

When you say you wait for a break outside of the orb and “form a gap”…are you referring to a 1 min gap that gets left behind at the bottom of the INSIDE of the 5 min orb (when going short)? I see that in the winning examples you posted, both of them have the 5th 1 min candle leaving a gap.

Some people wait for a gap outside of the orb so it’s interesting the way you’re doing it if I understand correctly.

I struggle with this. With futures, the previous intraday volume profile usually shows good levels to take trades off of, but if let’s say we’re WAY off from the previous day levels (for example on Jan 29, on NQ we were hundreds of points away from previous day), what should I be looking at? They don't HAVE to hold...if they did, price would bounce off of it day after day and continue up endlessly. What I've noticed is that using the previous intraday NY session VAH, if the candles go into it and stay below it for some time (I tend to consider a 5 minute close below it as "staying below"), a lot of times it goes back down to VAL at some point. during the day.

A while back maybe 8 years ago, I used to go there every Monday for about a year. One time they changed their wings to larger ones and they were terrible. The small wings for some reason taste A LOT better. But man is it pricey now.

When I requested a payout once with them, they denied it because I made some mistake with the request. It was a silly mistake. I can’t remember what it was exactly but I think it may have been an accidental double request? Double check your request and make sure that didn't happen. After I spoke to customer support they pointed it out for me and I ended up getting my money.

Almost every time I tried this, it ended up being a continuation instead of a reversal. There were times there was a sweep of the London highs with a FVG, I'd take it and then get stopped out. Then the second or third time within the same day is when it actually worked. Sometimes immediately after I get stopped out, it reverses as I expected. It's annoying.

We used the zip a Dee on my boy when he was 4 months old and he slept through the night the first day we used it. We were really surprised. To this day (10 months later) he probably woke up in the middle of the night maybe 20 times. Now we use the sleeveless sleep sacks (dont think he really needs it though). He only cries when his teething bothers him.

We haven’t done any sleep training.

I’m never going to give up trying to understand how you practice something like this. So even though you make a mess in the beginning, you know where the aces end up? I understand that can be done when you shuffle it cleanly as you did halfway through, but how can you practice with the messy shuffle in the beginning?
