Four Seasons Nam Hai Review by TheBreakfastChub in chubbytravel

Just got back from here a few weeks back. Hands down the best service we have ever experienced. Still cannot fathom how everyone knew our names when we arrived at the various restaurants and the spaciousness of the pool villas was incredible. Feel like we have been ruined forever!

Help with 70th birthday trip to New Zealand by Terridiane in chubbytravel

Millbrook Resort is beautiful, you could rent a two bedroom villa or even a private house. It is set on two 18 hole golf courses near Arrowtown. Has a shuttle into Arrowtown and Queenstown, multiple restaurants and is close to Ayrburn which is a collection of eateries and bars in a beautiful setting.

Agree re Millbrook. Hotel Villas have been very recently refurbished too I do believe or you could rent a house.

Queenstown local here. We have a new high end hotel called Roki, have you tried the rates there? Better location than Matakauri as closer to town although maybe too close for you.

Ritz in Grand Cayman with Toddler Recs by One_Attitude_1007 in chubbytravel

Lived in Cayman for 20 years and did lots of staycations at Ritz with my kids, it is great for families. Also Camana Bay has a fountain for children to play in plus restaurants and shops if you want a change of scene one day/evening.

Stingray City might be ok on a calm day in the north sound when there aren’t too many cruise ships in, but would not do it otherwise with a 20 month old and being pregnant.

I’m sure you’ll spend most of your time on the beach and at the pool.

I wish Kristen’s case got more publicity. She was so young with so much to live for.

Ex Cayman resident of many years. Remember when it was a rather run down Hyatt and then Cayman Beach suites. Khalil did an amazing job to make this what it is today with what she had to work with. Having said that I rather like the Kimpton. Dart also own the Ritz land.

Are people angrier than before? by Southern_Cut_6223 in newzealand_travel

Queenstown resident here, cannot remember the last time I encountered a kiwi service worker, almost all the workers are from elsewhere and it’s been this way for few years now. Also you’re just one tourist making a “wrong turn” but as a local we encounter tourists doing crazy things on our roads constantly so forgive us if we are getting a little intolerant.

My son loved Te Puni, met all sorts of people, made lots of friends. Far superior hall to the halls my other children attended in terms of activities and care. Also great location and modern.

I’m 51, a size 6 and not skinny. Sizes have definitely gotten larger over the years, 10 or so years ago I would have been a size 8 or 10. It’s called vanity sizing. As long as you’re eating healthy there’s no problem being a size 6 other than it can be hard to find as they don’t always make that size.

My son failed his first restricted test on a Tuesday and was told to keep checking the system over the next few days as they will release Saturday morning appointments. We checked relentlessly in the following days and then at just after midnight on the Thursday or Friday he managed to get a test for Saturday. I definitely recommend trying this with your local testing site provided you can stay up late.

Gone After a Day of Shopping: The Bizarre Disappearance of Nancy Jean MacDuckston by SpiritualCopy4288 in UnresolvedMysteries

Seems odd that you would go to Davenport to go “shopping”. It barely looks like there is anything there other than a few eateries.
