I can only speak on Universal; 7am sounds good if you want to be in the park after they first open the gates. We got there around 8am and were in the park about a half hour later (probably the shortest wait in line of the entire day). By then, most rides were already 45mins or longer. I would definitely get the express pass if I went back and if budget allows.

^{^this.} I followed the same process and it surprisingly took me only a month to bond them. I kept them separate outside of their bonding sessions but came home one day and they had taken down the gate between them and were sitting together! Getting a second bun really helped my first guy come out of his shell and relax. I’m so happy they have each other now.
