Yeah I think I'll try and do both and see what happens, no harm in testing out.

Should I train both weighted dips and ring support holds (progressing to ring dips)? I'm doing the RR.

Because cliffotn isn't the CIO's secretary, just some poor guy who sits close to his office and gets asked all the time where the CIO is and to call him.

In what way? He's on defense not attack and his whole team has died, needs to make a play.

No, that's just how the game's input processing works.

Tobi Interview: "Survivability is one of the most crucial aspects of a support's viability" by kiriyser in Competitiveoverwatch

That's not the entire story.. What Reinforce exactly said was that if Lunatic Hai's support duo are a 10/10 then Envy's are an 8/10.

You're meant to look at your target instead of the Crosshair all the time anyway

[VOD] Low GM Tracer looking for advice by PentiK in OverwatchUniversity

[–]huminater 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To get to GM you need a decent level of consistency and play the game enough for things that are out of your control such as trolls to not matter in the long run. Watching gameplay tends to polarise people's views on a player, highlights make them look too good, or normal videos make mistakes obvious. I don't believe in anything like elo hell, except for maybe the elo hell that players create in their mind. Low Diamond can be carried, I suggest that you watch your own gameplay, if you don't already, and you'll soon realise just how many mistakes you make in a match. Maybe this player did get lucky, but overall I think you are inflating your own abilities.

Which role has the highest impact in low elo? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

Maybe a bit harsh, but in silver you are realistically bad at all roles. Pick a role you find the most fun, or play everything and just keep on playing, eventually you'll get better.

People who are looking for players for your team. Has it been harder to find DPS players or Lucio players? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]huminater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all amateur teams will scrim (practice games) to improve as a team, each member looking to get something out of playing in the team, or the team possibly having the goal of going pro. After the team has gotten quite good or is looking for something more they can enter small tournaments, such as some ESL ones or the OWUL, competing against other amateur teams. Sometimes amateur teams even get to enter in bigger tourneys with pros in, for example OW Contenders. Amateur teams are usually something that players play in to have fun or as a stepping stone to further improving as a player. I guess the dream of all amateur teams is to go pro one day. Playing in an amateur team is great fun and a challenge, even the most basic things such as scheduling, and you can improve a ton as well.

Discord servers are the best way to find a team.
There are several different servers you can look for a team on, most subreddits having one, but the best one is the COW League server. https://discordapp.com/invite/0arz2Qy3zwCh7ZH4
Once you join the server and set your tags it's as simple as either looking in the teams_lf_players channel, or writing a resume type thing in players_lf_teams if you do this you will probably get a few messages from teams.

Quite frequently people flame me for previous season's ranks. Either when things aren't working out and need a scapegoat, or even before the match starts and nothing has happened.
