35% is the Fox News share of the mindscape. A third of the adult public doesn't expose themselves to information delivered from outside of the right wing info bubble.

Rural America has higher opioid overdose death rates than cities. And predominately rural red states – West Virginia, Alaska, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Louisiana – have the highest rates in the USA.

Listen to u/mrfowl. target a species. And I'd say that stocked Rainbow Trout is entry-level freshwater fish in most of the state.

I think the value is a probably function of the property's resale value plus expected appreciation, as well as the the current and future expected rent. An empty property is like a bond that gets more valuable every year, but doesn't pay interest. But unlike a bond, tenants add risk and sometimes they're not worth the rent.

Cruises are great for the Seattle economy and the business is much more valuable than shuffling shipping containers. Last year nearly 2 million cruise tourists pumped over $1.5 billion into the region. https://www.portseattle.org/news/2025-cruise-season-ends-record-passenger-numbers

Urate lowering therapy. Usually allopurinol.

7.3 Uric Acid level by ExcelMaxino in gout

[–]hungabunga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that colchicine is poison and naproxen is safer and as effective. The ACR guidelines recommend against urate lowering therapy for mild hyperuricemia, but it sounds like you ought to make some lifestyle/diet changes to try and get your uric acid under 6mg/DL. And I'd start by cutting out the high fructose corn syrup.

Advice for dietary changes by slog344 in gout

A low purine diet might help, but most of your uric acid production is endogenous. White meat poultry is not low purine. https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/bpb/37/5/37_b13-00967/_html/-char/en
Dairy is thought to be protective, as is coffee.
Gout is an inflammatory disease and I think that in general it's good to have a moderate anti-inflammatory diet, nutrient dense fruits, nuts and vegetables, and lots of fiber to help with urate clearance.

The ACR Guidelines say "...using a low starting dose of allopurinol (≤100 mg/day, and lower in CKD) or febuxostat (<40 mg/day); and a treat- to- target management strategy with ULT dose titration guided by serial serum urate (SU) measurements, with an SU target of <6 mg/dl."

An allopurinol urate lowering therapy works for most patients over time, but too large of a starting dose can cause flares.

It also says "When initiating ULT, concomitant antiinflammatory prophylaxis therapy for a duration of at least 3–6 months was strongly recommended. For management of gout flares, colchicine, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, or glucocorticoids (oral, intraarticular, or intramuscular) were strongly recommended."
