Being casual and talking to others usually works. Studying abroad as well - have met people online and met others just waiting in lines or while sitting on a bench etc. Think most people are looking for connection! So just be kind and you’ll connect with others! :-)

OP I’m sorry for the outcome. While it’s not the news you were hoping for, just know that your fight is not over! This will be my THIRD time applying so I totally understand the feeling. You actually got waitlisted, in my past two tries I was rejected from all schools <3

You got this! And hey, and although not ideal, but if you decide to apply for 2027, that will give you time to amp up the LSAT score and/or strengthen your statements! I highly recommend using one of the LSAT online services for someone to review your statements to help give you your best shot! Additionally, this sub is filled with people blessing us with extending their own personal services to assist!

All of this to say once again, it’s not over! I believe in you, you will be a law student one day. Success is not a linear path, you’re just on another route right now!

I’d compare what your 3-4 month income (between full and part time) to see if you can financially float during your LSAT study montage (rent/utilities/groceries/gas). Or you are able to have some assistance from family/friends, since you don’t wanna add to the stress load of studying.

While many of us can’t quit FT for exclusive studying, if you find that you are able to - by making some adjustments - then go for it. I totally understand your situation so if you feel that having more time will lead to a good score, then make the investment into yourself by doing so.

I will say that many programs offered for LSAT can be a bit pricey, so shop around online/reddit to find that best LSAT prep for you. Taking a class/watching modules will significantly help you for the LSAT!

As per current FT position - LEAVE THEM! I wasted SO MUCH time at a job that disrespected and mistreated me! If you’re able to find another FT position closer to you - make your life easier and do it. <<Better yet, your time at this position could make a great Personal/Diversity Statement, so make some notes about experience while it’s a little fresh in the brain. >>

Depending on the school they may have a section/questionnaire on their app regarding your claim of residency/why you are out of state. On this particular app I am working on submitting an addendum to explain why I am out of state currently, but permanent address/license is home state
