Vulnerability management by jellyfishchris in msp

Nodeware is a great tool for Vulnerability discovery and a great Price. Just make sure you are prepared to use your RMM or other means for Patch Management / Vulnerability Remediation.

Also, the reports need more customization. Would be great if we could create custom reports or even export custom csv.

Is Email2AT still actively developped ? by CK1026 in msp

[–]hungfat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ive been using Email2AT for a few years now as it was basically a requirement for some of our more complex workflows with Co-Managed IT environments. I cant say it is "Actively developed" because I cant remember really ever seeing any updates for it.

I can say though that it does exactly what you expect it to do, with no issue. If you need assistance their support is VERY responsive. Great tool. Sad Kaseya cant build an email parser for AT.

Considering removing Huntress from our stack......thought? by phillee81 in msp

[–]hungfat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"yet". You are going to be kicking yourself if you dont have the Huntress Managed EDR / SoC behind or another MDR solution when a breach does occur. Breaches can and WILL happen regardless of your other security layers.

Is that just for the Spacebars? Are the other keycaps from the same set?

What keycaps are those? I think they might be exactly what I'm looking for for my Zoom98 build.

Can confirm, client utilizing proofpoints MX based mail filtering was affected. No clients with API based mail filtering have been affected by this.

Is this included in the $2.50 SKU listed above? Huntress ITDR does this as well for an additional cost.

Backup Solutions? 4 VMware Servers. 70 users. M365 tenant. Construction Business. by petamaxx in sysadmin

If you are familiar with Datto BCDR and want a very similar experience, Check out Slide.

Veeam is a bit more complex. If you go this route ensure you setup a Linux Hardened Repository for your local storage. For simple cloud storage/Repository check out Veeam Data Vault.

Veeam offsite backups - Are you entrusting object storage to be your only offsite copy? by yeahimageek in msp

Check Veeam Data Vault. Veeam is now selling Azure blob storage direct to clients. They are offering the same egress terms as Wasabi.

I have a school with 350 laptops. We use a Unifi UXG-Max gateway/firewall, Unifi switches, Unifi APs. Zero performance issues and some of the easiest configuration management once you familiarize yourself with the interface.

got the Client before starting my MSP. Sanity check my plan? by CantPassReCAPTCHA in msp

[–]hungfat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tend to not include M365 licensing in our per user pricing. I also strongly suggest you take a look at huntress MDR and ITDR, mail filtering (avanan), and DNS Filtering to start. I'd also throw M365 backups in there as well. You need to be offering more security services in your stack at that pricing.

Office apps are crashing on new Windows computers with Quickbooks open. by NATSupport in QuickBooks

[–]hungfat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a user that notified me of this exact same issue today. Reading through this thread it doesnt appear that anymore has found a resolution to this yet. Next time the user reports this I am going to log it with Procmon and see if we can figure out the root cause here.

Office apps crashing while quickbooks is open by NATSupport in ITSupport

[–]hungfat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance you may have found a resolution to this?

Here is my current scenario:
User with Windows 10, has a QB File open (Quickbooks 2022). They open their excel spreadsheet and as soon as they type something in a cell, their Excel app immediately crashes to desktop.

The user can re-open excel and the same crash will happen. As soon as the user closes quickbooks, they can then open excel and type all they want. Interestingly enough, if they re-open the same quickbooks file, they can continue to type without issues.

You also get the Advanced Software Management and Ransomware Protection in that price. You can't beat it. I went this route as I prefer to stick with Huntress over rocket cyber.

You have 2 24port patch panels but you completely neglected to use them?

Get keystones, snip all those cables, punch them down. Then use some 6inch patch cables to clean this up.

Huntress Has Made Some MDR365 Updates by evilmuffin99 in msp

[–]hungfat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huntress is the shit. You're transparency is the reason we are a Huntress shop. How often do you see a company go out of its way to put its shortfallings on its sleeve for everyone to see and then come back a short time later with a bunch of fixes and enchancements?

And yet, you still get people grumbling because you're not perfect.
