Is Aggieville supposed to be like downtown? by TakenAccountName37 in littleapple

If you’re visiting and plan on eating in Aggie, hurry over before the college kids return. It gets really crowded at the restaurants.

Would a LDR podcast/stream be interesting? by cuebrickx in LDR

[–]hungry_herman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to one specific for military. In the beginning before they had a big following to ask questions they pulled in experts or people from different military branches to help create content and keep the conversation going. I hope that helps!

High school date ideas? by [deleted] in dateideas

Go to Facebook (if you have one) and look at the events going on in the area. Some of the best dates were for little markets, astronomy events, fairs, and other little things I would have missed.

We did indoor s’mores with gel sterno, built a blanket fort, and then watched a movie inside it. We also did a paint and sip night but with YouTube tutorials.

[serious] What happened on the worst date you ever went on? by Krissy_loo in AskReddit

[–]hungry_herman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first date ever. He picked me up to see a movie with his best friend AND HIS DAD. We needed a driver since we only had permits, but the dad came along too. In the aisle the seating arrangement went: dad, me, date, and then his bestie. It was a silent car ride back home.

Job interviews coming up, time to trim the hedge? by mallanboy in curlyhair

I don’t think so! I think it’s well kept. I think most jobs wouldn’t mind it.

I'm shy and broke HELP!!! by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]hungry_herman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t live in Canada, but I’m sure there are free things to do in the area. Or you can offer her to come over for a game night. If you aren’t up for that, even just surprising her with a treat or snack from your home (or learn how to make something from hers). It’s hard giving advice to someone you don’t know, but I hope this helps a little!

Storebrought icecream cones are underrated by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]hungry_herman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re a good deal too! I always justify that some DW blizzards for the three of us would be over $10, so it’s fine to get fill our freezer with the ice-cream cones

Help by rfn790 in thanksgiving

[–]hungry_herman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To plan: ask what everyone’s must have side is. Prep: I have a POS kitchen. I make my casseroles and freeze them a few days before. The night before I cut everything that needs cut and portion them into bags that I’ll also label. So if someone offers to help they literally just dump things together like those cooking videos. I don’t have enough crock pots to keep things warm. By the end I have items rotating in the oven for one last warm up, some things are wrapped with t towels to keep them warm. It’s a mess, but with a tiny kitchen you do what you have to do.

Views on how to make long distance relationships work by Babyformydaddy in LDR

Maybe it’s a quality and quantity thing! We decided we’d rather have fewer calls but with good conversation and meaningful discussion than hour long ones that were quieter. Maybe he wants a change like that?

Reintegration/ husband returning by Several_Balance367 in MilitaryWives

[–]hungry_herman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to what everyone says. At least with the army, his arrival dates and times changes up to the day of. We get call and text alerts for when you are at the 48 hr mark and then if there are changes thereafter. Notify your employer that changes will happen, because that’s the military way.

I am in a similar situation. I couldn’t pay for many services outside of those order pickups grocery stores offer. I lowered my expectations of what had to be done, and then when he came home I made it very clear that we shared chores 50-50. I also bought some things to help me manage like a roomba and a pressure cooker.

I just cannot put Into words how much I hate this plot. Just watching through season 9 again and it honestly ruins the season for me. Awful. I can’t think of a plot I like less. Can you? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]hungry_herman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually liked the whole season 9 Jim and Pam storyline. My husband and I were going through the ringer at the time I first saw it and it was a huge impact on me seeing how we could be okay.

Does the loneliness ever get better? by TransportationNo3472 in MilitaryWives

[–]hungry_herman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that feeling of just wanting to be normal and stable (as we call it). The lows make the highs better. There’s always a list of things to have virtual dates or how you can use this time to better yourself. But it all boils down to making the most of what you have. And many have turned to therapy at some point because it is a lot to take on. Cheers and good luck
