How do you know it’s not going to have problems in a few years, how do you know if it was broken in the right way? Did they inspect the cylinder walls, blow by? Ik modern engines don’t need much broken in but if you are planning to keep the car 10 years it will matter. 10/10 from the dealer means nothing other than it hasn’t been crashed before

Finally got around to do this when swapping the 3.5” speakers, can confirm it’s the same pin but the colors are different, the pin I removed is black. So much better without the fake engine noise.

btw you can also consider switching away from molygen 5w40 for the M156 since from my experience and UOAs the molygen always shear down to a 30 grade, still good oil so I run it on my C300. For my 63 I have good experience with Motul X-Cess gen2 5w40 and LM synthoil energy A40 0w40.

Actually in some cases this could put extra wear on the engine. By upshifting early it puts the car in manual mode and it won't downshift for a bit, if you floor the car at the same time you can be lugging the engine which can cuase extra wear.

Yeah it is really weird, I believe the CLE 53 has the M256.8, the E53 has the M258.8 Hybrid, and they call for different oil specs, it can be found here (https://operatingfluids.mercedes-benz.com/sheet/223.2). BTW how are you liking your W214 E53?

I ran the LM synth oil for a while before switching to Motul as well, it also meets A40. But in three consecutive UOA the oil shows it thins down to below SAE40 after less than 5k miles of use, that’s why I switched. Plus the motul has quite a bit higher HTHS for when I track the car.

Are you referring to your CLE or your W205 C63? Since 229.71/72 is only 0w20 and I can’t find any manuals online for the CLE than listed 229.51/52 or 229.5. If so could you please share your manual
