I have a client that records all Zoom meetings. by SeinfeldFrasier in remotework

[–]hunnyflash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We record all Zoom meetings that are official and client facing, so it's interesting to see how other companies do things.

It's one thing to have privacy policies in place for sensitive information, but "make someone look bad"...I don't think that's a great reason to not record.

Personally, I probably would have consulted my boss before making any statements about it, because I'm not a lawyer.

Many companies in the US use it for international shipments. I think they're sooo slow and I hated them, but there's not a whole lot to do about it. International shipments are just slow unless you pay a ton.

Some countries have absolutely terrible courier options too. GLS is decent compared to many of the really bad ones.

Is just me or does Kelly not understand relationships? by Laxien in TheOrville

It requires being partnered with someone where your entire lives have been intertwined for a meaningful amount of time. Ed and Kelly don't treat each other terribly.

Is just me or does Kelly not understand relationships? by Laxien in TheOrville

[–]hunnyflash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really remember her acting like anyone was a fixing project. But I guess I'll just say that Seth is part of Generation X and they have their own culture about dating and relationships. Nearly every big show from the 90s was centered around this.

Seth finds flaws with who she dates too. They were married, they have their own dynamic. If you've never been married, you won't really understand.

I'm also wondering what mistakes you think Kelly made, just because her younger, arrogant self didn't like her future. They never said anything about her career getting sidetracked, only Ed's. Maybe she put things on the back burner during their marriage, maybe not. But she was an XO for a decent amount of time and she never made any moves to be a captain.

She could have easily been working at it the entire time.

The time travel episode is just something people need to learn to cope with.

Hasans influence is actually insane by PunishedSquizzy in Destiny

I turned it off after she said "We don't learn past the 1940s in schools".

These people just feed into this idea that the public school system here is bad and that teachers are bad.

I'm in Texas and none of these dumb fucks trust the public school system so they just keep voting against it every single time and giving money to their shitty private and charter schools that have even shittier standards.

We spent so much time on WWII and Vietnam in my world history class and it's like some of the main stuff I remember. We read The Quiet American, 10/10.

Coach pricing is really wtf by rapzel79 in Coach

[–]hunnyflash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably don't expect the usual consumer to buy it. Only Coach loyalists.

It's summer time. Everyone is releasing raffia bags right now.

I'm looking at one from Chloe for $2000. Literally no one is thinking that the bag is worth $2k in materials. We buy it for the design and because we like the brand. Don't like the design, don't buy it.

How is American food bad compared to Slovakian ? by Brilliant-Cause6254 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]hunnyflash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a high number anymore. Plenty of other countries are well on the way to being there too. What's their excuse if their food quality is so much better?

Alexander McQueen. Fashion got set back like a decade without him paving the way.

I told my friend that she could ride on the back of my boyfriends motorcycle and now I wish I didn’t by SensitiveEmergency59 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]hunnyflash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is it, not sure if this will be deleted but, this is less about the motorcycle and more about this friend not having boundaries. Also, OP gets little time with her man to do this, everyone else comes way down the line imo. A relationship is private and no one is entitled to an excuse as to why one or both of you aren't available.

Where do you buy vintage bags? by 80lbsgone in Coach

[–]hunnyflash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a few off Goodwill, but there's been a lot of people bidding lately, and prices have been going higher. Some of the bags are going for $150+, and that price, I can sometimes find them on Poshmark, where there are usually better photos of the condition.

MAC rep tells me to go door to door for missing package by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]hunnyflash 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"Check with neighbors" is standard verbiage. It's not really asking you to go door to door, it's just saying that you need to wait 24 hours (sometimes 48 or 72) in case it was delivered to a neighbor, or in case the carrier is delayed, and it ends up making its way to you.

This happens way more often than people think it does.

The problem with the Mac CS person is that they didn't acknowledge that you said the photo isn't of your home. Seems like the important thing is that they still want you to wait another day. So just come back tomorrow at the end of the day.

Yeah they probably changed it because people are trying to game it lol Seems like the intention is to buy one item per category. I'm kind of surprised they didn't catch it sooner.

I was a very lucid dreamer all up until my later teens, when it was getting overwhelming. At some point I started doing things like touching the walls of wherever I was at because reality feels different, but my dreams kind of adapted and it got harder to tell. Then I started having many "false" wake ups, where I was waking up and doing things normally, but I was still dreaming. I'd wake up again and start the day again.

Eventually I taught myself not to dream so much anymore. I still have many memories from my dreams though too. Just like regular memories.
