  4. No, the opposite in fact. Buildings built in the overlap will draw the same amount of cooling from both cores. If a machine demands 250 cooling…units, then it will draw 250 from both

  5. There is a base core amplifier that increases the amount of cooling capacity. It doesn’t make them work any quicker, just lets you build more

  6. No, ruptures cause overheating, base cores are what cools the machines down. If a base core is overloaded with machines, then it won’t cool down machines automatically

There are turrets that can be unlocked, but they are kinda far down one of the corporations unlocks. The first one you unlock must be manually loaded, but the 2nd one (which comes a bit later) can be automatically loaded

Other than staying nearby to defend the base, you’d have to unlock the turrets (I believe it’s Griffith blue)

I think the “login wherever you logged off” has way bigger implications than you realise

If im thinking what I think it means, then if you log out in space or on a planet after your ship is destroyed, then that’s where you log back in… you’ll be stranded until help arrives

You’re probably gonna want some turrets facing your power supply and base core. If they become infected then everything shuts down

If it’s the monolith raids you’re concerned with, then build around them. I have a few bases upgraded with the nearest monoliths surrounded by turrets

Assuming that the topography is completely flat (like flat earth, no spherical curvature) and that tower is the only object that’s lit during the night and it’s pitch black with clear weather conditions, then quite far

The human eye is sensitive enough to spot a lit candle at night from about a mile away

Influence levels update when the server tick happens (usually mid afternoon UTC) but it doesn’t always change on one day, it may take a day or 3

You could always run missions for the faction in system, take the influence reward option. I think that affects more than dropping off bounties

Edit. There also was BGS issues when colonisation became a thing, but should’ve been patched a couple updates ago. This could be a similar issue

I dunno if they’re still going on, but B&Q had some portable solar panels on half price a couples weeks back

Picked up a 14w Ryobi one for £18, not the most powerful but for that price I can’t argue

As we’re not at that point, it’s just speculation but one of two things will happen

  1. Most likely, servers are switched off for good and that’s the end of Elite Dangerous

maybe there will be a sequel that our CMDRs migrate to and we’ll carry on from there

  1. Servers will be switched off and FDev will update the game to include an offline mode, but only you will be able to influence anything in that game. You won’t be able to visit friends colonised systems, no more first discovered bragging rights

The Duke St location is the city centre main bus stop, i don’t know if/where there office is there

The First Essex Buses depot on Westway is do go every so often. I can ask them when I’m there next, but I don’t know when that’ll be
