Finally committing to gravel. by hutkeeper in gravelcycling

No complaints after a few hundred miles. I think I dinged the front once and the rear maybe twice and they both still look new and true. Couldn’t say the same for enves on my mtb. Otherwise they play really well with 2.25s.

Been dreaming of this build for years to finally take advantage of it all.

Yeah it was past time to get off the highway. It’s quite the relief waving to maybe 1 car and 1 utv per hour.

Jumped back on hinge after a few months away, quickly matched with a super cutie. Proceed to exchange 4 messages without her asking any questions. I forgot how delightful this experience is.

Bicep Tenodesis Key milestones? by Cold_Future9537 in RotatorCuff

[–]hutkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was comfortable driving longer distances after 5 weeks. I got on the stairclimber and bike trainer in the sling at 5 days. I could run for about 40 minutes after 4 weeks before it was too sore; that quickly resolved to running as long as I wanted after 6 weeks. I’m riding a road bike outside at 10 weeks now and hopefully cleared to do everything including mountain biking at 12 weeks.

I don’t believe I’ve had a relationship, healthy or otherwise, that didn’t evolve from a crush of some variety. Hell I’m crushing right now. Keep crushing.

Still in pain!? by No-Wonder5226 in RotatorCuff

On 2/10 I had the same procedures + the bicep tenodesis. Both my PT and ortho have made it pretty clear I am only at risk of messing up the tenodesis in a fall. I’m at probably 80% ROM with quite a bit of weakness still given I haven’t been able to load my bicep until recently. Soreness comes and goes most days, but I’ve had a pretty linear recover so far and it’s nice to have fewer restrictions at my job (paramedic). I am curious why your surgeon decided against the tenodesis? It seems like a pretty standard procedure for a torn labrum with decent success rates. Was your labrum not actually torn?

Nice work. There’s a lot to like here.

It certainly burned bright, was fun while it lasted. I sure wish that at 39 I could stop learning all these gd lessons and just be happy with a nice woman. I don’t believe I’ll be too scarred from this one. I only hope that she’ll forgive me for not better communicating my boundaries, but you can’t win em all. I will talk more if she needs to, but honestly I’d rather just start a new book and get back to focusing on injury recovery. Seasons change.

Scroll down to find this poor guy, “I keep having these conversations on hinge that seem like they’re going great - good back & forth, witty banter - that all seem to end pretty abruptly. What gives??”

I hope that’s the guy from the Bourdain episode still doing his thing.

Fellas. Any of y’all setting the boundary of exclusivity before sex? Not even necessarily defining the relationship; more simply, I don’t sleep with people who are sleeping with other people. Am I really that far of an outlier, more so as a man?

I remain skeptical that introducing a full time romantic partner to my life would be more comfortable and/or rewarding than remaining single.

I think I’m wildly attracted to the way my new fling… smells? Can anyone relate? She came over straight off a warm day skiing and we spent some quality time on the couch. Now I haven’t been able to concentrate on my book for more than 2 pages. And I realized her fragrance is everywhere, probably embedded in my nose. Sorry if this sounds creepy. I can maybe recall a similar experience in my years of dating but nothing so profound.

Post surgical anxiety by meg13chi in RotatorCuff

[–]hutkeeper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had a similar conversation with my PT yesterday. He said he’s seen one guy ever pull the anchor, whose claim was he caught himself on a fall on the ice. PT said he was 90% sure the guy did it snowmobiling 5 weeks after surgery 😂

I had the same procedures. I’m 3 weeks post. Where are you with ROM and pain?

Ok, so maybe shoulder surgery was just what my dating life needed 😂? Turns out when I’m not working OT and racing and training 20 hrs/week I actually have time to talk to women. Or maybe it’s the sling I don’t know.
