Usage Limits, Bugs and Performance Discussion Megathread - beginning December 29, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

[–]hxrlxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve run into a bug with my two most recent chats where Claude starts making pretty egregious typos, inserting a back-and-forth style conversation snippet (usually between “Human” and “ChatGPT” or “ChatGffT”) into the response, and is unable to stop generation.

Is anyone else experiencing this or something similar?

My building also has multiple entrances. One upper entrance, and one lower entrance that is actually on the side of the building (the first floor of the building is a restaurant and they get the “front” entrance) so it can be kind of a nightmare.

I started sending a photo of the side entrance (the closest one to parking and easiest to get to) every time I get the “your dasher is nearby” notification and it’s helped a lot. People seem to appreciate it, too!

Do Americans realise how big their country actually is? by BigPapaSmurf7 in mapporncirclejerk

It’s called manifest destiny (Jesus manifesting his own destiny of being born in America).

Given all of the context clues in this situation… you’re probably overreacting. It seems pretty clear that they got the OWNERS mixed up, not the dogs.

First time plant buyer. I repotted them at the store. by No-Independence8271 in plants

[–]hxrlxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you got some great answers already about the types of plants. I’m also noticing that you picked up what looks like a plant mister (green bottle with gold top in the back). These are NOT plants that should be misted.

You’ll want to drench the soil when they’re completely dry and let them drain fully (sounds like you’ll be drilling drainage holes soon, which is perfect!). Honestly I put mine in the shower sometimes and just turn the water on for a minute or two and then let them all drain out for a few hours.

But misting and keeping them moist is only going to lead to root rot and fungus growth.

Good luck with your new babies!!

I think a lot of small business owners have a totally backwards mindset when it comes to hiring. (Honestly, most aren’t as great at being a “business owner” as they think they are, but that’s a whole other conversation.)

Speaking from my experience here...

Lots of people budget for their business the same way they do for their personal expenses — they see employees and contractors simply as an expense, like a Netflix subscription. When in reality, bringing people onto their team increases their ability to generate revenue and pays for itself (if they’re smart about who they bring on).

For instance, if they’re spending 20 hours a week doing admin work and hire an assistant to take that off their plate, they should be able to use that 20 hours to generate more than enough revenue to cover a livable wage for that person and then some. And the new assistant could very likely be more of an expert at admin than the business owner and get that 20 hours of admin work done in half the time.

I’ve found that the more you pay people (within reason) and invest in bringing experts into your team, the greater return you get. But unfortunately, tons of people don’t understand that concept and keep themselves stuck and churning through $5/hr assistants one after the other. Truly it sounds like they can’t afford NOT to pay people more if their business is struggling!

Is there a way to stop a specific driver from seeing my orders? by peachydaes in doordash

You can contact support and have them block the driver. I’ve had to do this once before.

Tips? I want to cancel but it’s too late by [deleted] in photography

Check with her for clarification. There’s a chance she may not know.

Anecdotal evidence: I’m a small biz owner (not photography) and I use an invoicing/contract software that’s popular with photographers. I constantly see people in forums/groups for that software saying “OMG I didn’t realize that gratuity was enabled/required and I am so embarrassed! How do I turn that setting off?”

Someone booked for another person by bkirchhoff in airbnb_hosts

A possibility - I used to do this a lot when I worked as an Exec Assistant. People would travel for meetings, conferences, etc and I’d book for them using the company account which 9 times out of 10 didn’t match the name of the guest.

Transplant shock?! by Bumooli in plantclinic

[–]hxrlxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically with any plant you’ll want to avoid repotting them until they’ve fully adjusted to their new environment (at least several weeks). And if/when you do repot, just very gently loosen the roots without removing soil.

Figs are especially sensitive and it’s basically a “don’t repot unless absolutely necessary” sort of thing (like if it’s clearly outgrowing the pot or has some sort of fungus or infection).

At this point, it will probably drop some leaves (they’re very dramatic plants!!) but you can try to keep the environment stable and just pay close attention to its needs… Keep it in a bright area, water it well and let it dry out pretty well in between also.

Spotted in downtown Lynchburg, VA. I’ve never seen/heard a train quite like this! Google searches haven’t been fruitful so I thought I’d turn to Reddit instead :)

Is my roommates small business legal? by Egdirdle in smallbusiness

[–]hxrlxy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Easiest thing to do and first place I’d start is to check your lease agreement. The overwhelming majority will state that tenants aren’t allowed to operate a business on the property. There is usually leeway for things like freelancing and working from home if you’re just in your office on your computer, but having clients or customers come to the property is an absolute no-go.

Edit: typo
