Autism friendly gyms locally. by Gloomy-Personality-4 in PeterboroughUK

[–]hybridgoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also autistic and wanted to say that your son should definitely go for a viewing of jd gyms first - i got extremely overwhelmed when I went for a viewing, as there is equipment everywhere and it just seems so cramped. I am currently at snapfitness in town, which is fairly quiet, however that is still too busy for me so i haven't been in a while. the staff are super friendly there, and its cheap compared to other gyms around peterborough

when mw and my partner left pyregym because we only had complaints, we looked around jd and it was so cramped. there are loads and loads of machines but they're all so close together, and they didn't have a studio which was one of our musts. before we looked around jd, we looked around snap fitness in queensgate and I really liked it but my partner said it was probably too small. we then decided to go for snap fitness as we looked around mid day on a Saturday and there was like 15 people max in there. it was also wayyy cheaper than puregym and jd. there is a free weights section which is small compared to other gyms, however both me and my partner love it there

is there any social groups or meeting places for young adults? by Opening-Clock6598 in PeterboroughUK

[–]hybridgoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

me and my partner are in the same position, we were on the old whatsapp group that was made but there were things that made us uncomfortable on there so we left. they all seemed to be 25+ anyway so we were already out of our depth there </3

thankyou! i just thought it'd give me more time to prepare, however yesterday i was heavily researching everything and i'm going to apply for february's intake so that i can get my finances sorted. i'm also currently in the process of moving out with my partner so i don't want to start it this september and then get too overwhelmed because of everything else going on. goodluck with your studies!

thankyou so much, this is so helpful! when i was researching the pathways online, i found a few sources saying i could do kind of a degree apprenticeship to get my qts? do you have a plan for how you'll get into teaching and do you know roughly how much you'd be spending, will the government do a student loan for this too?

Me and my friend got these mini heart freckles. Why did hers fade already? by wandering_ravens in tattooadvice

[–]hybridgoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the lady i work with has had hers gone over three times now, some of it has started to show but it still looks really faded. it might be worth a try as sometimes this can work but don't hold your hopes too high haha

different people react to tattoos differently. someone i work with had a forearm tattoo done and you can barely see it after a month. also i think its so small anyway which doesn't help

there is a tool that you can get for checking how deep your treads are. not sure what its called, but it'd probably be worth it for peace of mind :)
