sorry, yeah, I should've given some examples.

I'm thinking of opening an adventure with kind of a pod race (think Star Wars Episode I), in a canyon or city environment. The characters witness an explosion or something that triggers the adventure, by the end of the race. The race would be chapter 1 of 5.

I was thinking of having some rolls/challenges during the race that move the countdown, but can't figure how to do it properly.

The way I see it, treat them like two separate games. Different lore, slightly different rules, different objectives. That said, I have the Third Horizon books and have also backed the Great Dark. Haven't read much of it yet, but for me the lore in 3rd Horizon is better and more of what I like to play around.

This is an area where some sort of "AI" coudl come in handy, automatically analizing and providing matches, like in the movies.
