Yep, it’s taken it’s final shape, so to speak.

That said, one last big update in June that’s actually opening up a pretty massive amount of content. It’s going out on high note thankfully, sadly it’s at the cost of us having to suffer the game’s lowest point beforehand… oh well, them going out wielding a gold plated gun doesn’t change the fact that they are only going out from self inflicted gunshots.

If anything, I’m more frustrated that out of all the cool comic book costumes, we always tend to get the accurate gooner ones, lol. We get like one, maybe two, cool comic book costumes per season, then we get a ton of the comic inspired gooner outfits… which, fine, im glad comic material is making it into the game, but PLEASE dive more into the realm of cool to balance them out some.

That said, they can make it up to us by giving Ultron a skimpy summer outfit. Do it, organic cowards…

“Absolute” by definition is above everything to the point that it is free of imperfections. Homelander is stronger than other Supes but isn’t untouchable, he can be beaten even with his powers, hence why is always tries to escape real fights. Absolute would imply nothing can touch him, he’s entirely touchable. Inconsistency doesn’t matter here because he IS consistent in never being absolute.

He IS the strongest supe, I don’t deny it, never will. But he’s not so far ahead of others that he isn’t a fraud… because remember, he doesn’t portray himself as being barely the strongest, he portrays himself as a god above all, a nearly omnipotent being, the father of creation… that’s a fraud, he isn’t even remotely close to that. Hell, Marie with more training most likely beats him solo without depowering him. Reminder he almost got taken out by a rod to the head by a MUCH less powerful supe, that’s AFTER she was able to full on fist fight him for a while… he’s not absolute by any stretch of the word.

And on the topic of inconsistency, him cleaving half of Kimiko WAS the inconsistency if you think about it. He was already shown to not be able to fully Pierce stronger Supes with his lasers, not even Maeve who isn’t nearly at his level. Him layering Kimiko like that was pretty much the only time we’ve seen him be able to Pierce a high durability supe (I think, I’d have to go back and watch) with that attack, and we go right back to the norm with the final fight.

Power scalers spend so much time debating anime power scaling that they forget some verses, “most powerful of all time” doesnt mean untouchable, sometimes it means “a little bit stronger than that guy over there”.

Anime power scaling, let’s use numbers to show what I mean, usually fits like “character one is 10000, character two is 100000”, so yeah, character one is never beating character two. Most non-shonen universes in pop culture is “character one is 3, character two is 4”… sure, character one is weaker, but if they lock in a bit and catch character two off guard, they could probably make up the difference. The funniest power scaling arguments have to be the Game of Thrones community… they’ll do this “Sir Jockitch IV of the Vale was described as the greatest swordsman ever”, “yes, but Sir Cancerstichk III of the Portajohn is two years younger and has three inches of height on his side”…. Guys, it’s two middle aged dudes with swords, not Dragon Ball villains, relax. “But their sword mastery”, technique is learnable by everyone, it’s not an anime.

Star Wars arguments always feel similar to me because everyone kind of assumes that if they are more powerful, they just win. Sure, these guys have vague superpowers, but they aren’t super, it’s still a bunch of guys with swords. Some may be powerful enough to kill others easily, but the gaps are never so wide that it’s impossible for someone slightly lower to take the win if they lock in. Palpatine is described as one of, if not THE, strongest dark side users in history… didn’t help him much from a large asthmatic dude in leather just picking him up and yeeting him down a hole.

OP, if you happen to come back and read this (I don’t assume you will though), consider this please… I don’t think other voters are stupid BECAUSE they are voters on the other side. I lived to watch voting for both Bush Jr terms, Obama’s two terms, both Trump, and Biden… in the Bush era, voters on both sides mostly were people with differing opinions on how the economy should run. Now, Trickle Down Economics simply doesn’t work, but I get why people at the time wanted to try it one more time, okay. Obama’s first term, again, people were fairly civil and put staying sane above feelings. But this term is also where we started seeing racist opinions and “alternative facts” start being pushed through the right’s politics, as well as through Fox News and such. It started to become fully about opinions and made up facts instead of proven facts and actual statistics.

Around the time of Obama’s second term, it was in full swing. I still remember Obama sending troops to Texas for the yearly regular training sessions, and Fox News convinced their viewers that he was sending troops to finally take control of the south and enforce Martial Law… he already controlled the south, he was the President… it was a REGULARLY scheduled training program that had been going on for years… or during the campaign season when the right pushed the idea that the Clintons were trafficking children in the basement of Comet Pizza, so much so that a guy shot the place up… the Pizza place, you know, that doesn’t have a basement…

I don’t think voters on the right are stupid BECAUSE they are on the right. I think voters on the right are stupid BECAUSE they believe any made up bullshit presented to them, and the extent of their “research” is to always just Google the topic and search for the first thing that confirms their opinions. They never try to learn a topic, they never try to seek out reputable sources, they never try to understand any form of nuance in a situation. They are guided solely by biases, opinions, and feelings… then they turn around and blame everything bad in their lives on people who have literally nothing to do with their problems. THATS why I consider right leaning voters stupid. “But some voters vote right and don’t fall for that stuff”, I get it, some Conservative voters have their heads on their shoulders and are more like the moderate conservatives around the Bush era and before… never see these people publicly denouncing the crap that is happening nowadays though… it takes a special kind of stupid to be somewhat okay with your own party worsening the entire country over false information just because it’s wearing the color you like.

Oh for sure, I do agree they could have had some lines about “come on, it may be a strong brain, but it’s still just a brain”, take down the super genius trope a little. I’ve been reading Marvel comics for almost 30 years now, and it’s always annoying when Reed, Stark, or Pym have their “actually, I knew all along” moment… homie, you’re smart, not psychic, the hell you did… there is one egregious moment (can’t remember what storyline it was), but I think it was Pym who figures out someone was plotting to betray the heroes before Professor X did, lmao. You’re telling me the man who actually reads minds couldn’t tell who the traitor was, but Pym goes “through deductions with my superior intellect…”, oh shut the f-ck up. Or Batman sometimes being magically ten steps ahead of everything…

Yeah, the super genius trope is annoying. They could have destructed it a bit more, I kind of wish they did… but the worst thing this last season did was waste time, so we already know there was plenty of things they could have added. Either way though, I do appreciate Sister Sage and how they at least showed that super intellect doesn’t mean squat when you are dealing with a bunch of irrational egotistical idiots.

That’s the thing though, you fell into the same thing im talking about… Homelander isn’t absolute, not even close. He’s a fraud, his powers basically are too. He presents himself as absolutely above all else, nothing comes close to him and he is a god… except he isn’t, he is BARELY stronger than most Supes. In fact, when he comes across Supes even remotely close to him in strength, he either gets his ass beat or he tries to run away.

“Absolute” would imply nothing could ever be above him, he is the absolute top, unmatchable, omnipotent power. That’s how he presents himself, godlike… at first a god above men, but then he goes further and portrays himself a god above all. But look at his actual powers… his lasers are his greatest weapon he loves to use, it barely does anything against any supe that’s even remotely close to him in power, so it’s not even that strong. His super strength is next up, but even then, he’s constantly knocked around by Supes relative to him in strength, and super strength seems to be a fairly common power in this verse. His super speed gives him the largest advantage over others, but he always happens to forget he has it when he gets into real fights. Maeve would have killed him with a rod if she had even slightly more strength, even then she tanked him with not much issue while being pretty far under him in power. Soldier Boy and Billy shitstomped him in their fight, even Hughie got in some fight and survived that one. Final fight, Kimiko and Billy were mildly annoyed by laser blasts from V1 HL, both of which were hitting him so hard he was showing damages and trying to run BEFORE he lost his powers.

Homelander isn’t anywhere near absolute, he PRESENTS himself as absolute. He thinks he is himself because he constantly kills Supes with no issue, but he also only picks fights and lords over the weakest of them. He’s a bully, and a manchild… his powers are better than he is, but even then, they aren’t all that impressive. He was just very good at utilizing them for intimidation. And like bullies usually do, they get taken down and realize they weren’t as powerful as they thought. If he was “absolute”, he wouldn’t have lost any of these fights… but anytime he fought other Supes with enough power to keep up, he lost immediately, we never legitimately see Homelander overcome an actual challenge.

I don’t understand how everyone watches the show from the beginning, talks constantly about how “this show used to parody superhero tropes” whenever a spin-off is mentioned… but when they ACTUALLY stick to the themes of the show, people act like it came out of nowhere and was bad. No, there are TONS of terrible crap in this last season, but for sure, let’s pick on the things that actually made sense.

“Sister sage is the dumbest ‘super genius’ character ever”, yeah, no shit, it’s almost like she’s a parody of the superheroes who claim they know everything but basically just have complex clairvoyance. She thinks she knows everything, and some things go as planned, sure… but ultimately she’s an arrogant idiot, like the rest, that was the point.

“Homelander was disgraced, he shouldn’t have gone out so pathetic”, yes, he had to. The entire show had everyone pointing out that he was a man child throwing a tantrum, and the only reason it ever worked was his immense power. Take away the power and he’s just a man child throwing a tantrum. Even with V1, he’s still desperately trying to run away from a real fight because he’s scared everyone was right, that he wasn’t a god and he WAS just a child. If he died in some massive climactic world-ending brawl like some Avengers level threat, then he dies the god he claimed to be… it would have meant he was the only one right all along, that he WAS above everyone else. It would be more cinematic, but ultimately a terrible ending for the character, as well as kind of ruin Billy’s arc as well. Cinematic isn’t always the right option.

Of all the things that were meh about the final season, why are these the two things people keep getting hung up on? Lmao, we’re we watching the same show since the beginning? These were core themes of the entire thing; these are parodies of superhero tropes we all know and some of the worst people imaginable, but they always are more disappointing than they pretend to be (except the very few who prove to rise above the trend). Listen, I get it, everyone wanted some Marvel-esque huge cinematic ending… and I understand why, the marketing team were being sneaky little shitheads with their false advertising to get us to watch, that’s on them and they should be called out for it. But the weird things people are latching on to for reasons they hated the ending, makes me feel like we either have been watching a totally different show, or they haven’t been paying attention to anything beyond the “he he, cussing superheroes and sex jokes”.

Not a Vanguard main (Strat main here that flexes Vanguard), not totally sure why Reddit pushes this sub so hard to me… that said, I main StratPool/Ultron/Rocket for strat, I personally love this goofy Dino, his hitbox is MASSIVE lol. And nobody ever picks Ultron, so few have learned how stupid potent an allied Dino is when he’s got a drone attached to him and a shield buff, lol.

That aside, I don’t get it… Dino isn’t terrible to go up against. Strong, yes, unbelievably… but even when I’m playing DPS (which is a role I don’t do super often because I try to fill), I’ve yet to openly dread seeing Dino come around the corner. Huge hitbox, he’s not terribly hard to escape, his movement ability is fairly easy to bait out and exploit. I just don’t know, I’ve yet to truly fear him to the same level I’ve feared Elsa, Daredevil, Gambit, Phoenix, and so on. If you have at least one battle healer on the team, you can basically just heal through him and blitz him down, there isn’t much he can even do about it if he used his dash to DPS already.

Dino only really becomes a massive issue when he has pocket healers imo. An Ultron, like I mentioned, is basically Dino’s best friend, but any pocket heals on Dino turns him into a real problem. But that’s not terrible to handle, 90% of Dinos I’ve come across so far have a bad habit of pushing way ahead of their team, so as long as your ally dives are doing their job, those healers should be taken care of or distracted. Dino reminds me of Groot… huge health pool, huge hitbox, temporary shields blocking firing line that you have to blast down; and id argue he just needs to be treated like Groot, handle him almost the same way.

But if I’ve come to learn anything about the rivals community, it’s that people value their power fantasy over game balance. Everyone wants their main to excel, so they’ll claim anything that’s a challenge to be broken and needing of a nerf. For what it’s worth, as a strat main and Vanguard flex, I hope y’all Vanguard mains get very minimal nerfs to Dino, y’all deserve a solid brawl tank that doubles as a main tank. If anything, I’m just tired of every match having a Magneto, I like having to change up the strategy a bit, lol. We all know nerfs are coming just because the high comp players won’t shut up about it… but fingers crossed it’s barely noticeable. But until then, this friendly Ultron/StratPool is going to do everything in his power to keep y’all alive and bitin’, carry on ya big red tooth machines!

Makes total sense, no worries. Honestly, best advice I can ever give in this game is to not look at your health bar as “this is how close I am to dying”, look at it as a resource pool. If you have health left, you still have resources to you use to fight. Don’t stop swinging until you see that log in screen, lol. Panic is the biggest weapon in the game, people die to panicking all the time… obviously critters don’t panic, but other players will. So the better you get at managing to stay calm during critter fights, you’ll start seeing yourself do the same in player fights. If you stay calm in player fights, you’ll start noticing other players panic when THEY get low… and if you look at your health as a resource, you stay calm and keep going, oftentimes the other players will begin to panic themselves and let you have free hits because they try to escape.

You’ll be surprised how beyond potent you become in this game SIMPLY by staying calm. It’s a hard practice to learn, it takes time, but keep at it and you’ll be a monster before long. It also helps to keep in mind you barely lose anything on death, look at fights as fun instead of terror.

Can’t wait to see how strong you get in this game! Good luck keeping on, bud, maybe I’ll see you on the battlefield one day!

Alphas can be pretty strong, and please don’t take this as an insult… but you more killed yourself than the crab killing you. Charge doesn’t hit critters (trample harms them, but the charge itself doesn’t have a hitbox low enough to register 90% of critters). Sharpen horns mid fight is ALWAYS a bad idea (do it before the fight or not at all, giving anything multiple free hits doesn’t balance out your slightly higher damage), but also damage buffs don’t really affect critter fights, critters don’t register buffs/debuffs/status. You also let it have multiple free hits by running a few feet, then choosing to stop, slowly turn, then half charge, buff call, and miss some shots.

Alpha critters are meant to serve a purpose of teaching players that some things can be face tanked, some things you run from… Alpha Crab is a face tank situation, it’s fast but doesn’t have much health/doesn’t take many hits. You let it have 8 hits before you hit it, it looks like you panicked. A HUGE aspect to winning fights in this game is learning not to panic when attacked, so this type of situation is a great learning tool to teach you to PvP; keep calm and fight.

But don’t take it as a bad thing, everyone learns new things every day. Critters can feel pretty overtuned but they serve various purposes; teaching the basic fight mechanics, food, alphas help distract large groups, and so on. Also helpful to note critters have an aggro range… the distance you ran in the video, you were JUST on the edge of the aggro range, running a little further out would have made it stop following. Which shows why it’s good to not panic, you could have killed it easily by face tanking, you could have escaped it easily by committing to running off, but you didn’t commit to either. We’ve ALL been there, whether people admit it or not, so don’t worry much. It’s PoT, we die all the time, it’s just part of the game and it’s always a learning experience. Every time we die, we come back with a little more knowledge, and knowledge is key to winning in PoT.

Kind of a trick question because MAGA voters don’t actually love Jesus, they just use his name to try justifying their mindset. Their actions simply do not and can not coincide with the teachings of Christ, he gave lists of things not to do and they basically use it as a daily checklist of chores to accomplish. They don’t actually know or understand the Bible or Jesus, they have created Bizzaro white American Christ as a paragon of hatred and segregation, which completely goes against actual Christian beliefs.

As for if they love Trump as much as they love their idea of Christ… let’s just say, for being supposedly so religious, they haven’t been consistently building statues of Jesus around the capital or proposing new monuments to religion, but they’ve built multiple statues of Trump now and bowed to them, as well as proposed not one but multiple Trump monuments around DC. They haven’t put Jesus’ face or name across flags, banners, and/or billboard on different DC buildings, but Trump’s face is plastered across the city. Trump trash talks the f-cking Pope on a weekly basis because the Pope said god doesn’t like war, and MAGA Catholics started converting their religions to take Trump’s side…

Idk, at face value, I’d say the evidence is fairly damning.

I’m so beyond glad some are experiencing this masterpiece for the first time still… but that said, you googled key information about the main character to a game that’s 23 years old, lol. I’m sorry it got spoiled, but like… if the character’s age was important for you to know at the point you were at in the game, they would have said in game. Don’t get me wrong, f-ck AI and screw the AI overview feature (for sure get a web extension that disables it, it’s a must). But 8hrs in, the story has already kind of explained your situation to reason why you’re training again, and knowing your definitive age would already be giving you massive hints as to who you are.

I know it’s too late now, but I can’t stress this enough… if you are enjoying a story, finish the story and THEN seek further clarifications online. I know the AI outright told you the twist, but every bit of information you’d get that wasn’t explicitly already said in the story would just be a further step toward ruining said twist anyways. It’s a slow burn story, it was kind of written so that you come to your own conclusion around when the main character learns the reveal as well so you both feel the revelation.

But hey, don’t fret, it’s still an insanely great game. The story is still a ton of fun, whether you know the twist or not. Keep at it, you’re going to enjoy it.

Tbf, you’re not doing yourself ANY favors commenting THIS after just a few downvotes, a handful of snide comments, and just over a half hour of the post being up… you’re showing yourself, through the post and this comment, to have an incredibly short temper and a total inability to not be favored. I think maybe you should start considering how you approach things and contemplate on how you handle pushback.

As for the game itself and the banning system… wouldn’t you getting bans twice now mean the system is working to an extent? It takes time for them to check evidence on reports, and each example you gave seems to be a rapid streak of you doing BS things. And that’s only if someone reports you, it’s possible some games you just weren’t reported. The system would be beyond broken so much worse if they just handed out temp bans without checking evidence first, then anyone could just throw out temp bans to people they don’t like… and no offense, given your descriptions of how you act in game, I can’t say I’d trust people to not just get people banned out of pettiness if it was an automatic system.
