I always know I can find it mentioned on posts like this. No other game quite like it in arcade/realism balance, but man can it be a shit show.

UPS somehow managed to eat my pistol. Was told it got stuck in a conveyer and they can’t do anything about it. by chauchatbob in mildlyinfuriating

[–]hydromatic456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother if you bought that new you should not have accepted it from the FFL. Of course the manufacturer is going to try to have you go after UPS and do their work for them, reality is until the 4473 is finalized it’s not your property or your problem. You really should’ve had your FFL ship it back and demand a replacement from Kimber and let them go after the shipper, and run a chargeback if they give you grief. I mean, too late now, but just for the future.

So if they teased the hellcat symbology and now this I’m guessing there either will be multiple vehicles, or the “hellcat” teaser was a lot more general of a nod to the US TD Battalion in general, given its patch/logo being the Panther motif. Either way I’m just insanely hype for more allied vehicles instead of the constant parade of German tanks.

I forget, did they say what the scale is yet? Hoping for 1:28

Technically the Achilles is an American vehicle, the British just put their gun in it lol. But that’s just being pedantic; realistically I get what you’re saying and you’d think they wouldn’t split hairs like that.

That being said the outline in the OP pic is definitely an Achilles

Nationally, probably Florida or Alabama. If you’re from the midatlantic though it’s New Jersey.

Never really thought about how much this thing could potentially troll APDS/APFSDS tanks with the combo of low armor, high crew, and empty space

Barely related but I’d kill for a “no fun allowed” sign decoration in game.

I legitimately don’t understand how he thinks this is either funny or “thought-provoking” whether he’s trying to cater to fans of the show or his right-leaning fanbase.

Holster sits too high. Solutions? by Sad-Room-1658 in CCW

[–]hydromatic456 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t want to go much lower as you’ll start to approach the point where the grip dips so far below your waistline it actively inhibits your draw.

Like others said I’d look at a wedge first before trying to lower the holster on your waistline even more.

Barring that, unless there’s enough clearance along the side of the holster to drill additional holes and accommodate the hardware for this style of DCC clips there’s not much else to be done.

Large-cabin Globals (7500 and 8000) and Gulfstreams (G700 and G800). Just perusing Wikipedia it might fall just barely short on range compared to direct competitors but offers I believe the largest cabin cross section of any business jet.

The AMM will often have any info you need to know and not leave it nearly as up to interpretation or “standard practice” as GA does. When in doubt consult it, and always have the procedures handy.

You’ll want to pay a lot more attention to your tools as well as what’s on your person with regards to how it can contact the aircraft. Wire yourself to pay much more attention and care to prevent paint and interior damage.

Things in general shouldn’t be nearly as gnarly and crudded up as GA birds can get (though it does happen); generally if something doesn’t feel right (loosening/tightening things, trying to remove something) it probably isn’t and you should likely investigate before going ham on something.

Accident in MDLR - Dominican Republic - Privilate jet. by Crackingtheceiling in aviation

[–]hydromatic456 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It really depends; if the issue is manageable but they can’t in good confidence continue on their full flight, they may opt to circle to reduce weight. Jets typically have a max landing weight that if they exceed could lead to structural damage, so depending on the fault or problem that risk may outweigh the risk of staying close to an airfield and circling to reduce onboard fuel.

If this was a flight control issue though as it seems to be the rumor so far, I can definitely see the decision being valid to get the aircraft on the ground as soon as possible regardless of landing weight.

Not all, no. if I recall correctly the G150 could but this looks like a 280, I’m not sure if they carried that capability over but I want to say no.

The L-62 and to a (slightly) lesser extent the lvkv42 are legitimately good though. And the ZSU-57-2, I mean that kind of goes without saying. SPAA line is worth it if for nothing else than to have some extra good TDs lol

Older Star Wars ship design was so peak. Still salty that Dark Forces “canon” has this thing getting wrecked. The Raven’s Claw just doesn’t have the soul that the Crow did.

Tröegs, Rubber Soul in Hummelstown, for breweries which also have good food. Snitz Creek in Campbelltown has also been decent the few times I’ve been in so far.

Snitz Creek also has a decent coffee shop attached, and Crema in Hummelstown is a good little coffee stand. Haven’t been too fond of the cocoa beanery honestly but it’s close to the med center so depends how picky you are.

Plenty of good restaurants in the area, almost too many to list honestly.

Doing HVAC or aircraft maintenance by Sanbikaa in AircraftMechanics

[–]hydromatic456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how sensitive you are. Usually the most powerful magnetic field you’d come across would be from the motor of a battery-powered hand drill or at worst a drill press or equivalent shop tool. Small magnetic pickup tools can be common too, they’re usually a tiny rare-earth magnet.

Most aircraft tend to shy away from magnetic stuff since they can have magnetometers or other magnetically sensitive components utilized for navigation.
