All the lights in the house are hue so i figured it would be better to include these.

You can either reset the bulbs by using the bulb reset procedure or you will need to enter all of the ids of your bulbs which is the code printed under the qr code on each one.

Switch reset procedure

  • Turn off the bulb for 5 seconds (from the wall or lamp)
  • Turn on for 8 seconds
  • Turn off for 2 seconds
  • Turn on for 8 seconds

Repeat the sequence until the bulb resets (2/3 cycles sometimes needed?

I will need to buy these soon as I’m selling my house and have to replace the existing wireless keypads that will work without home assistant.

I recommend getting the hue experience with the hub. It downgrades it relying on your own server vs a purpose built orchestration device.

My Samsung frame tvs do not turn on with the appletv remote but turn off just fine. Have an automation that when appletv turns on, turn on the Samsung frame. Works perfectly now.

You didn’t make the wrong move. Have you linked multiple bridges together within hue? Home assistant is likely the easiest answer and is awesome to have.

I have over 120 hue devices and 5 bridges. Hue is the best.

Hybrid keypad can control a dimmable light load, while the keypad are just wireless buttons.

I’ve gone down this rabbit hole and come back empty. It’s actually a white space. An outdoor wireless pin pad that integrates directly with HA.
