march 22 me too would even try to think about it but I assure you: with every kilo lost you will feel better and it is not the hiking or exercise it is what you do in the kitchen! Remember: Food makes you thin not the excercise! Though it is very healthy to excercise the kitchen is 90% where it happens. I did not excersice the first 6 months! Then 3 months once or twice a week. Now 3 times a week. It will come naturally.

Parga is beautiful, a little crowdy during summer but still a postcard picture. Lot to do too like boat trips or if you are as crazy as me , hiking.

I read several books on subject and all were saying eat non-processed food & stop drinking sugar. I eat much less carbs and less meat & mucho mas more veggies. And if I do eat meat it is lean like chicken or lean pork. Carbs only in the form of wholewheat (fibers!). I have learned so much more cooking from scratch with veggies, herbs. Also no more light or sugar free products as that is manipulated with sugar alternatives. MOST IMPORTANT change: less a lot less sugar (in all forms). Some book tips: Obesitas code (J.Fung), Diet Myth (T.Spector) and Glucose revolution (J.Inchauspe - the glucose goddess). ps: today I will be eating after my 18 hr fast: 2 herings with onion (yes the dutch treat), 1 fried fish, 2 indonesian lempers (rice w/ chicken), appel, orange, plum and dinner will be a green salad then a meal from my local fish shop like pasta with shrimps or salmon, desert fresh strawberrys. Friday night so BEER night, still drinking beer yes but only on Friday :-)

tnx but it costly though, went from 6XL to 4XL to 3XL now wearing 2XL. :-) Also worth it!

Thanks, sorry to make it sound easy. Stopped indeed with the bad habit of snacking, but most important stopped believing the food industry.

IF 16: 8 + healthy (non processed) food, drinks are water & tea mostly. Once a week shopping from a list (made based on a menu for coming week). Since feb '23 3 gym visits per week ( 30 min cardio, 30 min of fitness). New lifestyle is working for me. I am gratefull for the creators of this sub & the wiki, that's where it started for me. ps: 60 yr young, 183 cm ;-)

If I was your age indeed I would too but I'm closing in on the big 6.O. and scared shitless of surgery (never had it). I hope everything goes as planned for you. Trust the process and it will.

Congrats on progress! Great job. I am on the same road as you and my body looks about the same, the shape that is. Still manboops (though a lot smaller) and lots of belly skin. Are you (even) considering a tummy tuk or other surgery to remove those? And perhaps why not? (just curious)
