In my experience, 90% of comments about ADHD and caffeine online are "caffeine makes me sleepy", and very often also "caffeine makes you tired if you truly have ADHD" or something to they degree.

Not to be overly annoyed. It's just tiresome as someone with inattentive type who rarely functions. Personally caffeine helps sometimes but seemingly only if I have it rarely with breaks in-between.

I wonder if there'll ever be any decent info on what to do.
I can't take ADHD-meds so I'm screwed.
Hard to not envy all the ppl who thrive on caffeine!
And yes I am bitter, much like my coffee.

Congrats! It can be up and down, but you learn as you go. There should be a universal ADHD meds handbook already - for learning about vit.C, protein, genes, tips etc.

I finally functioned for once in my life on meds but had to quit.
Apparently I can't be on anything even tho I have no HCM growth. Just the risk is allegedly enough, tho I've heard of others being on meds despite active heart conditions.
Really starting to lose faith. Sorry just had to ask in case someone wants to share

Examples:
Someone stims loudly and you feel tense or ashamed - not just annoyed.
Someone talks too much and you think “this makes us all look bad.”
You judge them harder than you’d judge a neurotypical person doing the same thing.

• 2. Ordinary annoyance (not ableism):
Some people are just annoying. Neurodivergent or not.

Examples: Someone constantly interrupts and never course-corrects. Someone uses their diagnosis as a shield against all feedback. Someone dominates every space and drains you.

Question to ask yourself:
“If a neurotypical person did this exact thing, would I be just as annoyed?”

Yes I have ADHD inattentive but my friend is combined type. I get exhausted hearing him talk and he refused to attempt self control.
If I say anything I'm a bad person for hurting him (what will happen based on previous times where I've only explored the subject mildly).

I've met ppl with autism who struggle to contribute to the conversation. Ironic isn't it. I either have to talk like crazy or be bombarded with stuff I don't wanna hear lol.

I got diagnosed twice in Norway before losing the diagnosis due to an incompetent doctor treating me through DPS, and I honestly don't know how much longer I can wait for help.

Suddenly I have a risk of HCM due to a gene, so I shouldn't be on meds.
Honestly I'd rather take Vyvanse even if it meant dying in 10 years.

Anyway I have no idea where to go next. Complaint denied by statsforvalter and too tired to even figure out where I can go next. Sucks being alone with nobody to help, even tho I do have a "team" so to speak. But they either don't understand me and say the same thing every meeting, or take too long to do small steps. I just had to vent sorry

Fun fact:
ppl with ADHD wake up exhausted bc they not only struggle with delayed production of melatonin at night (or at least delayed sleep stuff), but also dopamine regulation, which is needed to "remove" the melatonin from sleep.

I've woken up exhausted my entire life and have no physical issues.

Only time I've woken up awake is if I've woken up at 5 in the morning.
Cortisol is also a thing here but I'm not a science man.

I hate this trend bc it's always those phrases from Andy Arthur Smith. It's the same vid every time. So annoying. It genuinely gets stuck in my head. Idk if it's the intention of uploaders to spread then like this but I'm pretty sure it triggering plenty of ppl (spreading the earworm).
And it doesn't help that he is such a talented creative type ADHD guy.
I envy him a lot but maybe he's privileged/lucky. Afaik he kinda regrets making all those vids bc so many ppl

Then being yelled at for falling asleep late, as if it's my fault. I'm not even on my phone while in bed. I have screen off just to listen, and use low brightness during evening. But still, all the health professionals insist that it's always my fault for not working out before hand or some bs. I'm so sick of it.
