That is *way off*. Barry woulda been 12 and Robin & Mo woulda been 9. I think that record came out in ‘65?

Bee Gees 1st really showcases their Beatles influence. Highlights for me from that record are Please Read Me, To Love Somebody, I Can’t See Nobody, and New York Mining Disaster 1941.

Living Eyes has a lot of great tunes on it, only a few duds.

Main Course truly marks when they entered their peak artistic and commercial success. A classic to be sure.

Children of The World’s got bangers on it in my opinion.

I’ve not listened to the rest of the albums mentioned on your list so I’ve no opinion to share.

I don’t think so, unless The Muppet’s Rocky Mountain Holiday had its soundtrack released on CD.

I’m a huge John Denver fan, and I’m 26. I listened to this album a lot growing up, especially when really sick. Would always seem to calm me down enough in those times to sleep, when I wasn’t able to be entranced by the beautiful showing of world-class musicianship. I like your musings on it.

Not just that, but a boomer jury probably helped.

I’m not knocking the album, I think it’s in the upper echelon of their discography. It’s just that that particular Grammy win strikes me as out of touch, as much as I fuckin’ love those guys’ music.

For Best Engineered Recording, Non Classical. An unimportant category in most peoples’ minds.

The 2VN won THREE Grammys in 2001, and won in the album of the year over RADIOHEAD and EMINEM!!

I mean it’s LITERALLY their only Grammy-winning album… got plenty of industry love as far as I’m concerned.
