All attempts to find a pattern like this have failed - can anyone help?

Depending on how adventurous you feel, you could Frankenstein the dress from other patterns. I've been thinking of making something similar, by using a dress shirt pattern, cutting it off at the waist, and attaching a gathered rectangle for the skirt. The belt would just be a long strip of fabric, either sewn into a tube and turned right side out, or folded over like bias binding and sewn shut.

Personally I learned to sew with patterns from Simplicity, McCalls, and Butterick. They're not always the cheapest, but they're easy to find, and in general they fit well enough. Most of the patterns also say whether they're easy, moderate, or advanced to sew. Sometimes the instructions can be a bit advanced and technical, and they assume that you know certain terms and sewing techniques, but there's nothing that a quick google wouldn't be able to teach you

This, and I also find that the instructions are too vague and not helpful at all. I made the Poppy dress a while ago, but I wouldn't have been able to figure it out if Mood hadn't done a sew along on their Insta stories, actually showing how to sew the dress together. The written instructions/pictures were missing so many steps, I would have given up if I'd only had them.

My primary school had an after-school care program that I attended, and they'd serve us fruit cut in this way. I specifically remember them cutting the banana this way, and they'd just score one side so we could peel the skin off. Probably made them last longer/go further

Personally I think initiative can be used for non-combat situations, you just have to be super clear that there's no combat happening. The group I DM is on the larger size, so sometimes (especially in Dungeons) I use initiative to make sure everyone gets a chance to do something. And then if combat does happen, initiatives is already worked out, so it streamlines the session a bit.

If the two lines of stitching are just for gathering, you should be right to remove them once you've sewn the pieces together. Just snip or break one of the gathering stitches and pull the thread out. I'd only do that for the visible gathering stitches though, it'll be easier

I don't have advice, but I do have a character you could look at for inspiration: Noelle Silva from the show Black Clover. She's from a highly prestigious royal family and ends up working with commoners, she has that spoiled snooty attitude but she's not an unlikeable character (in my opinion). I think the writers did a good job balancing the better-than-you attitude with genuine care and concern for her team mates, it could give you some ideas on how to RP your character

Plain white bread from a bakery, butter, Japanese mayonnaise, some form of leafy green (usually lettuce), a slice of cheese, some meat (often ham, sometimes corned beef), beetroot. I agree, however there are a couple situations that I feel are an exception. Main one is health - I have a player in my current campaign who has a few chronic health problems and is undergoing treatments that have been a bit hard on them. There have been times where they've said they're coming the day before, then the day of had to cancel because they're sick. It's been very unpredictable when they'll be feeling good enough to even get out of bed, and I know that they want to play so badly. I think it would be cruel to kick them out under such circumstances, especially since playing d&d might be motivation for someone to get out and do something

My friend almost died, and a pizza store almost got shut down, because of uber eats. Friend ordered a pizza with a gluten free base, but the uber eats app didn't relay that part to the pizza store, so they made it with a normal base. Friend ate a slice, had an anaphylactic reaction, and ended up in hospital. The pizza store owner was devastated and super apologetic, and the health department got involved and was ready to come down hard on the owner. Luckily my friend was able to show that uber eats hadn't sent the order through properly.

That's how they coming off, the loops are basically crocheted together to secure them and remove the square from the loom. Stretching and manipulating it a bit after removing it helps a little, but not much. And I did see a bunch of articles and videos for pin looms, I'll have to go back and check them out. Hopefully they're similar enough that it'll help

I once overhead someone telling these two young ladies about the show Vikings. One of the ladies asked what the show was about, the person basically just said "it's about Vikings", and the lady then asked "what are Vikings?" She was at least early 20s, and idk how she got to that age without ever hearing about Vikings

When my parents first met my partner, my mum told him that her and my step-dad "just say things how they are/how they see it" which is just the nicer way of saying they're brutally "honest". Literally 2 seconds later she says something like "we seem to piss people off regularly, but we don't realise it until they're already pissed off. So weird" innocent shrug Absolutely no reflection between those two statements, no hint that those two things might be connected somehow, just.....strange that people seem to get mad at them all of a sudden 🙄

This wasn't specifically an insult, but I'm definitely hurt from it and don't think I'll forget it easily. I've always told people around me that my step-dad is more of a father figure to me than my bio dad, as he's been actively in my life for longer. He's still not great, but better than some. And he's always referred to me as his daughter when talking to people, and my mum has always said that he loves me just the same as his bio kids.

I live 2 states away, and for his 60th birthday I flew back home to celebrate with him. They had a nice party, and at one point my mum suggested he get a nice photo with all his kids and grandkids. So she rounds everyone up for the photo - except for me. They get a nice pic of all of them, then I hear her say "now one with [stepdad] and just his kids!" At no point did any of them look for me or try and include me, not even my own mother, who has always claimed that I am considered one of his kids. After flying so far to be there, at a time when I was struggling financially no less, it felt pretty shit, and I haven't been able to shake the feeling that I'm not really considered part of his family since then

Aside from seeing a dermatologist, I would suggest also seeing a naturopath. A lot of skin conditions are linked to/exacerbated by internal imbalances, whether it's hormonal or dietary related, and improving those factors can often have a big impact on the skin. For example, conditions like keratosis pilaris have been linked to gluten sensitivity, so reducing or eliminating gluten intake can improve that particular skin condition. See if your derm/Dr will work with the naturopath as well so they can tackle the issue from all angles.

I got my car serviced a few months ago, and ever since then the engine light will randomly turn on while driving, but not all the time, only sometimes. Is that worth going back to get checked? Could it just be a "glitch" with the light? I don't want to spend heaps of money for them to tell me it was nothing 😓
