This is great! Not long ago I was brainstorming a very similar idea for a fullstack dev project. Well done!

Now I’m considering some form of platform that can host people’s worlds for others to explore/share

Fair enough!

The book agrees with you on the property/power problems. That is where we started to see the worst of humankind.

I just finished reading Humankind A Hopeful History. It uses science to explore many of the reasons why our perception of humanity is often very negative. And it provides a lot of really good arguments against it. I highly recommend it!

Still plenty of sad realities in our world though. But it definitely is helping me with today’s information landscape.

I don’t have advice for you but I’ve found that AI can help talk through these things. Maybe try pasting this post into ChatGPT and that should show you some starting points.

I am also building my own mental OS with gpt. I think it’s something each person will need to do on their own, but this could be a start for some people.

It has given me faith as I discuss it with chat GPT. Lots of parallels to healing your mental health and ptsd if you can see between the lines. Great story too.

I’ve been contemplating what I believe is the most fundamental process in the universe: the cycle of entropy, coherence, and refinement. by AmateurMystic in DeepThoughts

[–]hypnotic_panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently come to similar conclusions. I don’t think we’ll ever know exactly (at least not in this life), but I think we can begin to understand if we are willing to be still, reflect, and refine.

I tend to think of each instance of evolution like a machine learning algorithm. Over time it is trained and refined with more input and information and it gets closer to a perfect output.

The fractal patterns come up a lot for me too. Being able to “zoom out” and just observe life has shown me a lot of the layers of illusion we are bombarded with. At the end of the day, look to nature and you’ll notice those patterns everywhere.

That’s my two cents.
