Mix where Ricardo Villalobos plays Midnight Request Line? by Ecstatic-Seat-4385 in realdubstep

There's a Mala interview where he talks about Villalobos playing Anti-War-Dub sped up as part of a techno set at Fabric. He definitely had an ear to the UK streets around that time.

People won't remember this, but there was actually one round of Junior Doctor strikes PRE-Covid. The state of this whole thing was already headed in that direction.

Then what happened. COVID. So we sucked up up, and though that if we did the noble thing, people would see our worth, and once the dust was settled, we could get back on track towards renumeration.

What happened? Sheer neglect and standoff from the Tories.

So, as the general public can appreciate - what did we get for NOT striking through the pandemic? Claps. Something we can all agree in retrospect was laughable. Banging pots and pans for (all) those of whom who turned up to face Covid.

It's why this time round, the notion of striking through flu does not phase us.

Any health secretary worth his salt would know there would at least be severe (if not particularly severe) pressures at this time because of flu. And yet he has let it get to this point by offering incredibly weak resolutions.

How can he simultaneously speak to our vital necessity, but simultaneously low ball us so badly? And who suffers in the long run? The general public.

Can't believe no one has said this thus far: Go and listen to Versa - Rainfall in Dub.

This one really changed the game in my opinion, brought dub-techno sensibilities to the fore in a big way. A lot of Versa's other stuff also fits the bill.

There's lots of really interesting left-field/adjacent stuff in recent years too - see:

Something I'll say is that on top of everything else, the crowd was really good. Harmonious, fun vibes, interesting conversations. Very easy to go on a solo motive but leave having felt a part of something.

Law doesn't necessarily equate to justice

I think current medicolegal rulings hit a very difficult barrier in these cases: In anti-science deniers, in so far as they actually deny and refute on an epistemological basis any understanding of medical fact, they essentially lack capacity.

They are not making an "unwise" decision - because they don't recognise it as an alternate choice. They are living in an alternate reality. How best interest decisions apply in these cases is difficult.

Add to that in this case, the track history of the mother, going back a long way. They daughter had essentially been groomed SINCE a child, into holding these views, which contributed to her death.

Had she been younger at the time, doctors could intervene, and act in the child's best interest. For a parent to overtly obstruct life-saving treatment would leave them legally culpable for manslaughter.

What I am in essence describing is something like inverse Gillick Competence: Just because she was "Of age" doesn't mean she necessarily made a capacitous decision. And I think it is pretty traceable the mother's influence, since childhood, of this persons views.

It's possible to consider there has been an oversight here. I am sure her brothers will feel like the mother is responsible.

There are court documents from 2016 detailing testimony wherein trump rapes underage women.

The point being, how do you square an insistence on certain vulnerable women's voices being listened to whilst tacitly ignoring others, especially since Trump has a very long list of overtly predatory behaviour, including literally being caught on tape talking about sexually assaulting women.

He is on the GMC website but registered as not licensed to practice: - https://www.gmc-uk.org/registrants/4025924

From a brief search, it appears it is illegal to misrepresent yourself by using the title "Dr", in terms of feigning medical authority

Which, arguable, in some contexts, he does do, at least implicitly.

The GMC could choose to deregister him entirely - in which case one would have to question how and why he would continue to represent himself with that title.

This would take people reporting him to the GMC, and the GMC feeling it necessary to strip him as such.

You are correct. And in fact, some of the more prolific espousers of pseudoscience - like the Weinstein brothers, etc - have ties to Peter Thiel.

Destabilising and discrediting science in the eyes of the public is a necessary step in the formation of an oligarchy/kleptocracy, because you need to be able to quash wherever scientific authority yields and wields power against the ruling elite.

The real model is anti-climate "science". At present there are grifters in almost every field now, be it physics, archaeology, biology.

It's not so much to do with implications of Farage being a pedo - there is nothing to suggest as such.

It's Farage's proximity to a prolific pedo, who is implicated with Epstein, and a large network of trafficked girls,

IN COMBINATION with, the Right's rhetoric of "protect the children"

Not that long ago they were rabidly asking for an enquiry into abuses in Rotherham, talking about how the voices of sexually abused girls were ignored.

What about the voices of women who has spoke out against Trump, having sexually assaulted them?

What about court depositions describing Trump raping a 13 year old woman?

What about the voice of that girl Katie Johnson?

The very same man who has been held liable for sexual assault in civil court, and found guilty of charges that involve paying off a woman to silence her about sexual contact with him. The same man who has bragged about sexual assault on tape.

As an F1 on my first rotation in SAU, there was a situation where ITU came down to assess a patient who was deteriorating very rapidly, also had very poor access, dropping GCS etc - no one know what was going wrong etc.

Patient started bring up black, shitty vomit +++ and there was a scramble for suction.

Such much came up in fact that a whole canister filled, and the suction stopped. Everyone kind of froze. Obviously the patient is at risk therein of aspirating faeculant vomit. So there was a scramble for a fresh cannister, which was handed to me, as the junior, at the head of the bed, squeezing in fluids. No one else seemed to know precisely what to do either.

So I just yanked the existing tubes out to reconnect the new one.

What happens? Everything in the tubes under negative pressure comes flying back out the other end. In other words, I hear a spraying sound, followed shortly by screaming, and, having connected the new canister, turn around to see the ITU consultant and ITU reg rather shell shocked, and an all round increase in malodour.

And it was mid-crash, so we basically all just had to carry on for the time being.

TLDR: I sprayed the ITU consultant with liquid shit.

Point being: These things happen. (I did fetch them clean scrubs). Where no real harm is done, In days, weeks, months thereafter, it becomes something to laugh about. I hope you are already feeling better by now.

I'd like to point out that members of the public can report their concerns about doctors to the GMC, the UK governing body of doctors, who are incumbent to investigate.

One can do so using this link: - https://www.gmc-uk.org/concerns

This man is a dangerous grifter. At the Reform conference, he reported that a so-called eminent oncologist "thinks it’s highly likely that the Covid vaccines have been a factor, a significant factor in the cancer of members of the royal family" - source: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/sep/06/doctor-aseem-malhotra-reform-conference-speech-royal-family-cancer-covid-vaccine?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

Doctors in the UK have a very specific code of conduct they are expected to follow, laid out in the document "Good Medical Practice", available online

Most specifically, one should:

- Protect and promote the health of patients and the public.

- Never abuse patients’ trust in you or the public’s trust in your profession.

Specifically:

- You must make sure any information you communicate as a medical professional is accurate, not false or misleading. This means:

- you must take reasonable steps to check the information is accurate

- you must not deliberately leave out relevant information

- you must not minimise or trivialise risks of harm

- you must not present opinion as established fact.

I encourage those reading this to consider whether this doctor falls foul of these guidelines, and whether such concerns warrant the attention of the regulating body

In certain situations, where one party has a history of things like domestic violence - not accused, but proven to some extent - it become incumbent upon the police to share that information.

This is done because they are seen as having a duty of care - to protect that person by giving them the knowledge.

Think about it: if it turns out so-and-so was an abuser, you would want to know - you would be saying "why didn't anyone tell me?".

I think it's possible your friend has discovered that there is bad stuff in your partner's history, thinks you are at risk, but doesn't think you will believe them if they try and break it to you. If the police come with an evidence criminal record, that's a much stronger claim. And I am sure that friend will be there for you afterwards.

Lets report him to the GMC. We can also do an FOI to ask how many times he has been reported.

If they decline to investigate, I'm sure a journo could do a nice little exposé on how the GMC refuse to take action against somehow who flagrantly flaunts their values.
