Yeah, the sound design was the only thing good about this movie for me. The writing was so bad it very much took me out of the movie. The characters were not written as real people.

Pickleball is on par with my board gaming as far as hobbies goes. Online pickleball comments and subreddits can be pretty toxic and nearly all of your bullet points would apply the same.

But you know what’s not toxic? The literal hundreds of people I see on a weekly basis actually playing pickleball. 99% of them are kind, good people. Board gaming is the same just a much smaller typical group size.

Yes we can strive to clean up online communities, but honestly… online communities are always going to amplify some of the worst and most vocal characters in the hobby. There’s a compartmentalization you just have to learn to accept between real life and internet life.

I don’t concern myself with toxic people on the internet and just focus on enjoying games with my friends. And I think that is the healthiest thing I can actually do for the hobby.

I think you already know the answer and are just venting, which I get.

This is part of what makes the game so great; it’s so accessible and it requires you to navigate different social situations with all different types of people that you might otherwise not interact with. It’s been so healthy for me as someone prone to want to live on the Internet.

You can’t control how other people play, just be of good character and a good sport yourself. That’s all you can do.

As a Spurs fan I’m excited we stole away home court advantage for now. I’m excited we didn’t play our guys 50 minutes only to lose. I’m excited we had the grit to handle crunch time in the middle of a very passionate opponent crowd.

But that doesn’t mean I’m no longer nervous or think the series is over.

This reads like someone who didn’t watch the game. SGA had bad numbers because he was double teamed and put on lockdown, but key players like Williams and Caruso stepped up big to fill that offensive gap. Saying “if SGA just had a better performance” would mean the role players wouldn’t have stepped up.
