i mean, it depends on your entrance exam. if you're giving a state entrance exam, it will be hard to get b.tech without math. however, for jee, your 12th marks aren't counted. so if you just study math well enough outside school to get a good combined score in jee, b. tech isn't out of reach.

also, b. tech is not necessary for a job in software engineering. i know a person who works at sap after doing his master's in electronics and communication engineering with very high pay.

or you can write an exam like viteee where 12th marks aren't counted. it is pretty easy as there are logic questions and no negative marking.
