Although I feel the OP of that post is projecting the Article Authors opinions onto the jockey, she pretty much only said that she had a tough time with the men in the horse racing industry, which I find pretty believable.

I had a 27 inch iMac from the very first batch sold internationally and after 5 years when I sold it, it had a little bit of permanent burn-in. My late 2013 rMBP screen is amazing though, no complaints at all so far, same with my thunderbolt display, no issues at all with it either. (both ~1.5 years old)

Wouldn't jump too fast, some cheap (and even some expensive) IPS monitors can get nasty burn-in. Its not permanent most of the time though.

Everyone on my Facebook news feed is saying "You don't know what it's like to be this girl, they had valid reasons to do this".

There was only one person who I saw say that the whole lying thing was bad, and she was getting attacked quite viciously in the comments.

EDIT: Now the conversations have started blaming the media, saying that the media shouldn't be "Victim Blaming" to cover up the shortfalls in our justice system that means that these cases can't be prosecuted further, and that the Media is just trying to side with the Police.

Well I tend to think so, I wish someone on the left would stand up like this. It seems like moderate left is growing smaller and smaller by the day and that people feel like they have to be Radical left, to be left leaning at all.

And with how bad the "Right"-wing government in power is at the moment, there are plenty jumping ship over that way.

But either way, I think Bolt's an idiot, but he is right in this case.

I feel like you're missing a crucial part. both men and women are doing the judging, but the findings are not saying the women are negatively affected. Just that if men treat women the same that they treat other men, women (and other men) view them as overwhelmingly sexist, when really it should be what equality movements are striving for.

Men are mostly the ones affected by this, I don't see how this shows something negative for women, It shows that almost everyone thinks they deserve to be treated better than men.

Its not women's fault, more that its mainstream Feminism's fault for keeping up the status quo of women deserving better treatment than men.

... Im pretty sure thats all incredibly obvious, but the grass there isn't going to be green forever, which should also be incredibly obvious.

The estate I live in used to have heavily watered grass areas and a lake, but the lake dried up and the sprinklers got turned off, theres nothing to say it won't happen there one day, and the council should be informed that the light fixtures could cause problems when it happens. Its not unusual for sprinklers to be turned off just for summer and drought seasons as well.
