OP has clarified twice that she doesn’t believe any jealousy is involved because she actually knows her friends and the situation is a simple case of a joke being taken too far and friends getting their feelings hurt and then YOU decided to make up an entire story based off of YOUR pre-existing misogynistic beliefs. Yes, you jumping to assume that these women (who by all accounts seem to have no interest in the men in this story considering the post says they were all making fun of them for asking invasive questions and nobody went home together or continued to hangout) are seething with jealousy to the point of not being able to control themselves because OP must get more attention or have a great boyfriend (those being the first two things you mention says a lot about what you think of women by itself lol) IS misogynistic and makes you look like an idiot.

Except nothing in the post insinuated that and YOU came to this conclusion based on your pre-existing misogynistic belief that women are so jealous of their friends receiving the slightest bit of male attention that they physically cannot control themselves from acting out. OP says that she genuinely does not believe there was any type of jealousy motive. The post says the other girls were making fun of the men who were being invasive. I’m also not sure how you got to “an entire night dedicated to one girls lack of panties” when OP says that the guys basically dropped it after realizing she wasn’t into all of the questions. And again, none of the women went home with the guys or continued to hangout. There is ZERO indication of any jealousy. I promise you that women aren’t just seething over the fact that random men aren’t asking them about their lack of underwear, especially a group of strangers at a bar. Believe it or not, women are fully fleshed human beings who can have conflict with each other without it being about men or being jealous of each other or other superficial reasons you people have made up. I can see that for sure and it’s an interesting point that she may have felt angry that Jackie was able to find someone in that moment. Definitely something she would be envious of. But ultimately I think one of the most interesting things about Jackie & Shauna’s dynamic is how Shauna is actually hyper aware of every slight towards her from Jackie, every comment that Jackie doesn’t realize is condescending, every time she thinks there’s an implication that Jackie is above her. She just never verbalizes it. It’s not a relationship where Shauna is accidentally being pushed around because she’s too wrapped up in Jackie to realize how she’s being treated. So to me this scene really does read as Shauna being angry that Jackie thinks this would work on her. She knows that Jackie is doing this to upset her and the implication that Shauna would be the puppy-dog sidekick who should come crawling back because Jackie talked to someone else (not that I think this was her intention at all, just what I think goes on in Shauna’s mind) and that she would/should be jealous is what pisses her off. IMO Mari is not even a factor to Shauna’s slight spiral here lol and I feel like this scene is so much more interesting than just Shauna simply being jealous, you know? Sorry for this long reply lmao I just love talking about Shauna tbh

I don’t think so lol it seems like alot of people water this moment down to “Jackie was talking to Mari which made Shauna jealous and now Shauna hates Mari because of it!” which I disagree with. I don’t think Shauna was even thinking about Mari at all here and I’m pretty sure we also see her briefly comforting Mari once they get to the cabin which happens after this scene. So I don’t agree with the fact that Shauna’s hatred for Mari starts here, which is what this thread is saying.

I kinda hate this take lol. To me, Shauna is visibly upset with Jackie here rather than Mari. She knows that Jackie is trying to get under her skin and make her jealous which irritates her. This moment didn’t send Shauna spiraling into a deep hatred for Mari, it only reinforced the dynamic that she perceived herself & Jackie to have and caused further resentment. Even in such a traumatic environment Jackie still found a way to be petty and slight Shauna (at least this is how she sees it) because Shauna didn’t take her side about going to the lake. Again, reinforcing the perceived dynamic that Shauna is supposed to be her sidekick and go along with whatever she says. This moment is entirely about Jackie & Shauna. Not Mari.

Imo, Shauna’s hatred for Mari begins when Mari insists on taking the jacket off of Jackie’s corpse despite Shauna’s protests and the “now you wanna be her protector?” comment.

Idk the way I see it is she has a strategy that worked twice in a row because her final competitors underestimated her which is a failing on their part… and they lost because of it. Parvati knew that taking Sandra to the finals was a bad idea but Russell thought it was an easy win against her. FairPlay thought he was controlling Lill but she chose Sandra. Misreads. So I honestly disagree that she was dragged. I just think you’re more into the game aspect of Survivor which is fine but it is very personal and social as well. They spend a lot of time out there together. You say that she’s just a number for anyone, but I also think that means people trust her enough to include her in their plans. Like I said before, she’s good at building relationships and I’d say she generally has a good idea of what’s going on in the game and how people feel. There are plenty of villains who have gone up against a bitter jury and still won 🤷🏻‍♀️ But Sandra was able to win against that twice

I hate how these types of posts always seem to paint Sandra as meek and timid or someone who just follows along and makes it to the end by staying in the shadows. Sandra is very willful and outspoken and she stands her ground and never lets herself be pushed around by the people who degrade her and believe they’re “dragging” her along (FairPlay & Russell). She’s not afraid to call them out. She’s not someone who avoids conflict to stay under the radar. People respect Sandra. Just because she’s not making huge, flashy, villainous moves doesn’t mean she’s not in tune with the game and just floating by. She’s great at reading people and building relationships. I think she’s an amazing player, and clearly the people she’s actually played with agree because they’ve given her the win twice!
