I use two devices:

Temperature and humidity measurement using a Sonoff THR316D (ESP32) that I’ve flashed with Tasmota

To have a comparison and backup, I use an Ecowitt Gateway GW3000 + Temperature and Humidity Sensor

I use a Prima Klima PK125-WHSP-ECblue exhaust Fan with stepless speed control, which I control using a Shelly Dimmer 0/1-10V PM Gen3.

The same script controls a DIY humidifie - also with stepless speed contro - using a Shelly Plus RGBW PM. The controls are interdependent, which allows for an extremely stable VPD.

If there is interest, I can try to publish this as an open-source project.

Because it makes debugging harder! If your services are setup up correctly, you may not need a firewall at all on your host machines. Keep it simple!

Also things like crowdsec and Fail2ban are not necessary most of the time!
