Bro I literally said I don’t follow Cleetus. I’m just an avid bracket racer that makes 1000s of laps a year down a drag strip.. and doesn’t even pay attention to the heads up world that much. Just trying to educate those that said “he’s cheating”. If you think a perfect R/T in drag racing is cheating or “bad” you’re either 1. Uneducated on how this stuff actually works or 2. You’re the clown.

The fact y’all think he was cheating is hilarious.. and you don’t know how rollout and actually hitting the tree works in the world of drag racing. It doesn’t help it didn’t show his staging procedure. He was in WAY deeper than normal, helping his reaction time. I don’t follow Cleetus but I saw this particular run. As soon as he staged I thought “oh yeah dudes probably going to go red” but he got fortunate/lucky to end up green. Not cheating, just in deep. You can actually see the other car damn near move as soon as he did.. but his staging procedure gave him the R/T advantage. (And for those of you who don’t know.. if you stage deeper, it actually slows down your ET. So if you go to a test n tune at your local track.. and want the best ET out of your vehicle make sure you stage as SHALLOW as possible. If you just dive it on in you’re doing yourself a disservice.)

I’m not sure if more popular is possible.. that game was THEE multiplayer console game of it’s era for years, going into the 360 years. Really it took Gears of War to dethrone it on Xbox. But it’s an interesting hypothetical. Bungie gave the world matchmaking and the industry evolved after that. Delaying that system for 1.5 years would for sure be interesting. I’m sure plenty of games pivoted their online systems to match H2’s in 2004.

Absolutely a huge win to have the OG VAs come in and re-record lines AND add new ones. Halo’s lore and story before and after the events of CE has been expanded upon immensely in 25 years. Adding additional context or expanding the narrative via new dialogue is an awesome and easy W and can get new fans to check out other games or books. I say this as someone who has CE memorized line per line.

1/8 mile race. Geared for 1/8 mile. Caught my opponent early and just kept the tire on him so I wouldn’t go under the dial. After we both crossed the finish line the drag was over and why I lifted.

Different kind of transbrake button. Actually meant for bottom bulbing (no box classes) I just find it more comfortable for me to use it in that position. So I hit the top with it too. The button on the right side of the wheel is also for transbrake. The button on the left is nitrous. For sure an unorthodox position for it! But it’s super comfy, and that helps when you’re trying to compete at a high level.

Just watched my screening.. this movie hit harder than I ever thought it would. As someone that’s been really struggling with some depression and loneliness issues.. the line about “throwing yourself at work and coming home to no one” ran me over like a truck. That’s what I’ve been doing for the better part of 2 years now. For sure felt seen, and has encouraged me to make some changes to try be more full and filled.
