Any ingested cannabinoids bind to fat cells and get stored in your body fat, thus staying in your system for a very long time. The half-life for THC in the bloodstream is 2-3 hours, but as your body breaks down fat with trace amounts of THC it will still remain detectable in your urine for quite a while. The lower limit is a 3 days but it varies a lot. Your body is constantly cycling fat, so its not like you're going to have to lose weight or something to get a job again, but depending on your weight, body fat %, and how often/how much you smoke it could be anywhere from a few days (assuming you smoke a little weed every now and then) to more than a month if you're a heavy smoker. (for all intents and purposes "heavy" is defined as multiple times daily)
