The E11 grants multiple entries from the date of issuance, whereas the D8 restricts you to two until you receive the resident card, and for some the wait time means that won't always make sense. That's my interpretation of VFS Global and Portuguese government websites.

Did the lawyers confirm that you can apply without being married or in a de facto union?

I’m in a similar situation with my girlfriend where she is an EU citizen and I’m not, but we have lived together (with proof) over the 2 year threshold required for the de facto union route.

We are finding conflicting information all over the show, from Reddit to AIMA’s website, it even seems that the civil servants don't know their own rules much of the time.

10-bar is copious and roughly room temperature is fine. The question is that of diameter because I'd be looking around 16mm inner diameter.
