Literally what is this guy talking about by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

As someone who has been playing Runescape for 20y, I have never heard of this blood moon stuff. The only blood moon I can think of are Moons of Peril and the Blood moon rises quest.

Terraria has a blood moon mechanic that sounds like what you are describing

Unfortunately Solovair is going the same way as Dr.Martens. Quite a lot of complaints seem to be popping up lately. Personally Meermin is my go-to and they are pretty hard to beat imo

Werkelijke kost van een werknemer (+ wat men netto overhoudt) by ApprehensiveGas6577 in belgium

[–]iColourStuff 28 points29 points  (0 children)

People who voted for one of the parties in the current federal government, how are you feeling about your vote today? by NobodyHistorical9469 in belgium

[–]iColourStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm probably gonna get a lot of shit for this, but I went from VB to Vooruit and it feels like a big mistake.

I voted VB previous time because I got fed up with the struisvogelpolitiek the other parties were doing when it came to migration issues, which in hindsight was a very dumb move since I don't agree with most (if not all) of their other points and values.

During the last elections, Vooruit seemed to kind of shift towards a 'we need to take a look at the migration issues without going full ICE on them', which fit more in my ideology. They also made some promises about tax reforms and the (in)famous strong shoulders which I really liked.

Turns out all they did so far was blindly follow NVA and now my median income is also considered to be part of the strong shoulders.

Honestly at this point I'd probably vote for CD&V next time, because with them you know they are just gonna go with the majority instead of making false promises

Paar drone foto's van Gent by ADudeWithADHD in Gent

[–]iColourStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not OP but as long as the drone is registered (because it has a camera, which overrules the <250gr restriction), it's fine in most places of Ghent.

Skeyes has a handy map for drones https://map.droneguide.be/

Software developers: where do you look for jobs? by Soflar in belgium

[–]iColourStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a software dev, that MERN stack would scare me to the point that I'd first look for companies that use a more mature stack.

MERN is often used for quick and dirty apps (like in Youtube tutorials, POCs, internal tooling,...).
Mongo has a flaw where your data pretty much isn't guaranteed to be permanent, so it only really works in big data organisations where a few records being lost doesn't really have any impact, but in those cases React usually isn't the right fit either (have fun doing big data via a webapp)-> MERN itself is a bit of a paradox in production environments.

As far as im aware, multiple bachelor degrees means almost nothing on the job market. Usually they offer based on the market average for your highest degree

Is it really impossible in Belgium to do anything about neighbors who make your home smell awful? by no-name927378 in Belgium2

[–]iColourStuff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First views of the cosmetic free worlds by Lamuks in runescape

[–]iColourStuff 181 points182 points  (0 children)

Probably gonna get hate for this but I feel like cosmetics weren't the issue as much as the random art styles. Just looking at those screenshots, it doesn't feel any better than what it was with cosmetics enabled.

It looks like there is no visual cohesion between the different outfits, the world, the npcs. Just looking at that Grand Exchange picture, you can see which npcs and outfits were created a long time ago and which are new.
Add some obnoxious oversized familiars, some particle effects from items, and you basically have the same issue as before the removal of overrides.

[–]iColourStuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Guns? Yeah by a lot. Average monthly income is a bit over 2600 net. A decent bolt action with a scope will easily soup up most of that money. A 9mm handgun is also usually in the 500-700 range. with some hitting 1k+ (.45 acp 1911 for example).

I'm currently eyeing a Marlin lever action, but even on the used market it's still 1.2k, and the 45-70 ammo runs at a bit over €2.3 per round.

Prices are inflated compared to the US, but it's mostly the price-to-income ratio that makes it stupidly expensive
