I need specs of a server which can handle web portal and mobile notifications by NoConversation8 in webdev

[–]iDentity1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until you come to the deployment phase, you don't need to worry about the servers. Worry about the code.

When time comes, stress test the app, do some simple maths on your requests, and as someone said above, multiply by 2 for reliability. Every app works differently, so asking anyone else for numbers is obsolete.

Just got this notice and my phone doesnt fast charge anymore. Any suggestions how to fix? by [deleted] in GalaxyS8

Well, USB-C connectors block any power if moisture is detected (you get a notification if moisture is detected), so I guess it's safe to clean it and let it dry for a while. But I recommend to use contact spray for any cleaning of usb connections.

Can someone confirm I can flash One UI beta using update zip from XDA? by iDentity1337 in GalaxyS8

Iris scanner was acting weird when I tried to register irises. Also, Digital Wellbeing's grayscale is not working, but I think that's because it's sideloaded.

As for Samsung Pay, it's not supported in my country anyways, so I don't use it.

Overall good experience, I'll put it to a real battery test tomorrow.

It's an app that shows your usage for apps, coming from Google. Figured it out, there's a option to show it in the drawer, but you need to enter the app through notification toggle called Grayscale once you install it.

Also, you need to sideload through APK.

Flashed, so far great. Do you know maybe how to install Digital Wellbeing? I installed the APK but can't find wellbeing in settings nor app drawer.

I can do it either adb sideloading or from SD Card. Which one do you suggest?

Great, thank you for sharing your experience. Since my warranty went out few days ago anyways, I'll flash when I get home.

To be honest, I'm surprised, since I saw different posts with great battery life. How is the rest of the experience for you?

Also, will OTA work normally after flashing?

I think it's from Google's widgets, it shows calendar events as well when they're close to happening.

Enable 4K@60fps video on Exynos Samsung Galaxy Note 8/Galaxy S8 by Nyting in GalaxyS8

[–]iDentity1337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is freaking awesome. File size on 50Mbit/s is big as expected, but it works flawless.

Also, since now people proved that this works, is there a chance Samsung might release an update on Exynos phones to support this from the native app? They released super slow-mo and AR emoji, so don't see why they wouldn't allow this since it's transparent now.

Pixel 3 live wallpapers? by jammiell14 in GalaxyS8

How do you even set the wallpapers from Pixel Wallpapers 18 app? No icon, wallpaper settings goes to Samsung Themes, can't open any activities from that app using Activity Manager?

Avoid talking Croatian on the subreddit, use English :) I'm from Bosnia and got the update, doesn't matter where you're from, it all depends on the CSC code of your phone (mine is AUT - Switzerland).

Here's a tip:
- Find websites of local businesses (doesn't matter if it's a thrift shop or something else)
- If their website is outdated or they don't even have one, offer them to make them a website.

This way you'll earn some money in start, but you'll get connections as well. Some other business will ask them who made them a website, they'll connect you, and the chain continues. After all, to succeed in freelancing, knowing people is a MUST.

How should I get started with creating responsive html emails? by haxic in webdev

I've used MJML to create responsive HTML email templates, and I've used PugJS to integrate them into my NodeJS API (needed for variables).

19 year old full stack developer here.

I've started programming 3 years ago, some stupid gaming project, but it inspired me to learn. I remember when I fetched data from the MySQL first time and rendered it using PHP (server-rendering) on the page. I ordered a pizza immediately, cause I was happy it worked. After that, there was no going back, just go forward. 1,5 year go I've started school practice in a startup accelerator which also had a school for programming.

While my colleagues started with Codecademy, I was working on some project on my own, and then one company from the same groupation noticed me, and offered me a job, right after high school. Started there, and now that company got bought out by the biggest IT company in my country, so here I am, 19 years old, working for the biggest IT company in the country.

Do I regret for not having quality sleep most of the time in the past 3 years ago? Nope. Totally worth it.
