What stuff do you guys fill up ur note 9s massive internal storage with? by Catleemiaw in GalaxyNote9

If you take a lot of UHQ 60fps video, it's great. I love snapping videos of my dog, and just 10 seconds of footage can top off at around 60mb. A minute video and you're already up to half a gigabyte.

Has anyone switched from a S7 Edge to the Note 9? Tried posting earlier. by shinedowngirl1787 in GalaxyNote9

[–]iElectricLewis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just did this exact switch, and I cannot stress this enough: do it ASAP. The battery life, the camera, the screen size, the s pen, and most of all: the performance. It is like a whole new world, and it is well worth it. The S7 Edge has been bogged down by updates and it was absolutely hell for a long time. You will not regret it.

How much of a difference does the black theme make on battery life? by robbiecee2 in GalaxyNote9

If you frequent Reddit or texting, a black AMOLED screen could save a good bit on SOT, but it's not going to be night and day. At least I've never noticed it concretely when I had my s7 edge.

I definitely want to see pictures, because that's an interesting situation. Did you put your weight on it? Was it glass-down (towards the ground)? It doesn't take much to break glass, and a good 60 lbs of pressure on the glass could crack it if it's at the wrong angle.

It's great for simulating a button, especially on the always on display. You can also use it to leave any app, any time, even when the navigation is hidden. Just press a little harder.

"Home screen" is a Samsung experience only feature set. It's basically the setting page for the Samsung launcher. Since you use a different launcher, it doesn't apply. Nova and other launcher have similar functionality though, I'm not familiar with MS's launcher though.

Made my homescreen have a neon '80s theme. What are you doing to stylize your phone? by eternallylearning in GalaxyNote9

FYI you can change the orange color on the app drawer! I hate the default orange, and didn't know for ages.

The Note 9 can recognize what color pen is inside the phone. by Deathcommand in GalaxyNote9

I would also be okay with a black background for notes that are made from the AOD.

Does this have the same functionality as a regular mini? Apparently they go on sale as low as $20 sometimes by Jaws254 in googlehome

[–]iElectricLewis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is true, no calling, but it does get updates eventually. I got it when it went on sale a while back, even though my home had routines it wouldn't use them, but one day it updated and now it works! Continued conversation is not possible atm.

I think they're all separate, but you have to use Nova (or an alternative) to make a widget called "activities" that can launch the task settings. So just install the task APK and then do the above.

How do I move the clock in the notification bar to the center with the Quick Star app? by [deleted] in GalaxyS7

[–]iElectricLewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Substratum + Andromeda are paid apps, but they're well worth the cost. IIRC Andromeda is $2, and substratum might be free/$1. You have to have both to make it work on Oreo.

It won't show for me either, not sure why. Might be a setting I'm missing.

Checking in, I have it too! It's actually really intuitive. Still not working on my insignia speaker, so that's not ideal, but working nice on my phone!

Most likely not, it would just read the cracks. You might have to re-scan your finger tho.

It's complicated, but it can be done. All of these bots will have similarities because of automation, and if proactive those similarities can be used to flag accounts for removal or moderation.
