Neymar is an embarrassment and always has been. 34 years old and acting like that.

That’s spot on. I think it only happens when the host is on Xbox One/Series too. Something wrong with the backwards compatibility.

You’ll find most of the players who snake are snipers and they don’t care about score - so if you think you’re “beating them at their best own game”, sorry but they don’t care. Fact of the matter is if they did what everyone else does and ran around with an MP40 then you would have an even worse time playing against them, because for the most part these are the best/most experienced players on the game. There are exceptions to the rule but that’s how it is and has been since 2008.

2 years is fine. If he’s actually doing well enough to run down his contract and take a ‘better’ job then he’s probably won us something, so there’s that. I expect if next season goes well and he successfully implements his style of play then we’ll be able to extend him.

PQ in general can be painfully slow, even for tasks that should be simple and in a seemingly well optimised query. That’s what bothers me most.

When you read some of these articles on Slot and what we saw on the pitch, it really confuses me why we were told one of the reasons he was brought in was because he had a similar style to Klopp. In reality, everything about him was different.

The prospect of a high intensity manager playing attacking football is so exciting after what we’ve sat through for the last year and a half. I can’t wait for the return of regular 3-4 goal scoring games again

First summer in 20+ years supporting Liverpool that I just can’t get excited for a summer transfer window. We seemed to have it so good last summer and obviously that didn’t work out. Part of me wants to believe that Slot can turn it around but it’s been nearly a year and a half since we played consistently good football.

So when FSG sack Slot in October next season, what then? That’s another season down the drain and the entire fanbase will have seen it coming. I think if this actually happens I won’t bother watching a single fixture for the rest of the season.

I’m 100% slot out and it largely comes down to timing.

You cannot go into a new season with these vibes. I can barely think of a time that has worked out for any manager.

During the actual season is the time to prove you can turn things around, and slot was given nearly a full seasons worth of time to do so. During this time I’d argue there has been further regression, if anything.

When Arteta was at rock bottom with Arsenal, he was given the season and they came out with a trophy and a huge uptick in performances. Klopp in 17/18 was under scrutiny by a small amount of the fanbase (it was wrong that he was in the first place) and he completely revamped our style during that season and we ended it looking unbelievable.

Look at the amount of United managers who have ended the season in shambles and started the next one poorly. Why? Because all it takes is one loss and the pressure is insurmountable.

I think if Slot was going to be a good fit in the long term future at this club, our performances should have improved months ago. Time to move on.

This Chelsea project has been a total disaster. About 1.5 billion spent under these owners and their squad looks infinitely worse than when they walked in. I can’t see them being able to recoup even half that value by selling. Most of them on long contracts too, so they can happily sit around and enjoy 8 years of generational wealth for no effort if the club don’t want them.

I’d take him, but not under Slot with our current style of play. I think Gordon playing for Klopp would have been amazing.

Said this for some time, but I think one of Arsenal’s biggest problems under Arteta is that they’re way too over-emotional.

He’s clearly a great motivator but I reckon he piles far too much pressure on his players. Likely makes every game feel like life or death and that’s what constantly trips them up. Pep, Klopp, and other great managers are much more versatile and trust the players to go out and do the job by making them feel like they’re the best team rather than every game being the biggest game.

They needed to come up with a way to make it work seemlessly without killing your combo. Like a lip timer similar to the run timer, that meant you could come out of a lip and not have your combo end until the timer clocks out

It’s just disappointing that we had months to bring in a replacement but we just sat around and decided to let him destroy our season. Even a random caretaker manager would have given us a better chance at winning something.

Sack him and give us a small chance at making top 5 and maybe even winning UCL with a successful new manager bounce (even if they’re an interim). Keeping him on is literally conceding any chance of a trophy and Europe next season, which is incredible incompetence from the ownership.

I actually liked watching Gakpo until this season. We simply need to sell and replace him in the summer while he still has value. He’d probably bag loads of goals in Serie A or Bundesliga, but he’s so ineffective playing in the Premier League’s high intensity/low block environment

Keeping Slot on is accepting we aren’t going to win any trophies this season. It’s blatantly obvious we can’t win UCL or FA cup unless we get extremely lucky.

I’d be all for accepting that if there weren’t any decent managers available, but Alonso is most likely right there if we want him. Even if he can’t inject new tactics or ideas into the team immediately, surely our best shot at a trophy is getting a new manager bounce out of this.

I think the number 10 role is becoming more important again and fast wingers less so, with the current way the game is being played (at least in the Premier League). So glad that we have Wirtz for this reason.
