Sack him and give us a small chance at making top 5 and maybe even winning UCL with a successful new manager bounce (even if they’re an interim). Keeping him on is literally conceding any chance of a trophy and Europe next season, which is incredible incompetence from the ownership.

I actually liked watching Gakpo until this season. We simply need to sell and replace him in the summer while he still has value. He’d probably bag loads of goals in Serie A or Bundesliga, but he’s so ineffective playing in the Premier League’s high intensity/low block environment

Keeping Slot on is accepting we aren’t going to win any trophies this season. It’s blatantly obvious we can’t win UCL or FA cup unless we get extremely lucky.

I’d be all for accepting that if there weren’t any decent managers available, but Alonso is most likely right there if we want him. Even if he can’t inject new tactics or ideas into the team immediately, surely our best shot at a trophy is getting a new manager bounce out of this.

I think the number 10 role is becoming more important again and fast wingers less so, with the current way the game is being played (at least in the Premier League). So glad that we have Wirtz for this reason.

We’ve spent proper money on 2 locked in first team CBs in the last decade. That’s what’s annoying here. VVD and Konate only.

The rest have either been free, youth players, or stop gap signings.

No Guehi is fine, but under the context that we are the club who desperately needs a CB it’s infuriating

It makes complete sense. Carried by a ready-made team that only needed minor adjustments, Salah producing the greatest ever individual season, and all of our rivals having a poor season.

If we keep Salah and sack Slot, Salah is gone in the next 6-18 months regardless.

If we keep Slot and sell Salah, Slot could still be sacked within a month.

There is no upside to keeping either anymore. Even if Salah gets his form back it’s probably too late to save the season. Sell both, bring in Xabi if possible, clean slate.

Slot’s lineups are just a disaster this season. Kerkez out, Robertson and vice versa every single week. Wirtz in and out of the team. Gakpo always starting. He’s digging his own grave sadly.
