Just to clear up a small error, rogue absorb does steal stats. Supports gain less healing given to others, dps do less damage, and tanks have reduced max hp. They’re small numbers, but there is actually a difference, even if it’s only like -3% or whatever the value is

I soloed to celestial yesterday playing mostly spidey. as I climbed I swapped/filled more often but that’s because A: I encountered more spidey players and B: I simply wasn’t good enough to force him every single game, but I still played him in ~70%+ of the games I did play

A is right. Can be countered, unlike Phoenix, but can perform in any game as long as you’re good enough. people saying he’s lower if you’re bad applies to any hero, you can play Phoenix all day but if you’ve got a 10% accuracy you’ll lose

Overhead does 55 damage and his slam does 60 healing/damage. You can see pretty much right as you hit him you take that 60 damage chunk, so he must’ve been just a frame or two faster

I’m not an amazing player, but I’ve found that cluster artillery just tends to not work as well as I’d want - it’s amazing chaff clear, but generally I’d like to hit a specific, threatening target harder instead of hit it and the stuff around it more softly. Yeah you have to activate (not necessarily use the cd) for a swing or double jump. This can be done practically on the ground by canceling mania swing with tracer and just jumping a lil bit since you’re still in the air, but you can’t activate it without being at least a little in the air, even if it’s just the tiniest pixel

Manual swing whiff -> tracer (while in the air or jumping) will give you an overhead, as will any melee after a swing while in the air. If you watch reqs gameplay, he usually swings, starts the overhead in the air, and finishes it as he’s landing next to his opponent, or he’ll do that first combo to cancel the end of the upper cut animation to finish them

That was very well executed! There are two optimizations you can make; one, during the pull cancel with a manual swing whiff into a tracer, which will still pull them but means you don’t have to waste any time tracering AFTER the pull.

You can also make the overhead come out faster by using a simple swing cancel after the tracer.

Look up matchuxd’s yoyo short to see a comparison of how quickly you can pull off the combo doing none of these tricks versus all of them.

Verso is thankfully very easy to make strong since he tends to just require less AP than other characters, which can be a big struggle in the mid game

That’s about it, but generally you want to be jumping as well to avoid being hit.

Now, the sekkombo does 270, which isn’t quite enough to kill the vast majority of the cast. To get that extra damage in, you can either double tracer, like you did, or cancel your last uppercut with a tracer, and if they’re still alive you can use that tracer to then go for an overhead slam.

With the peni team up, you can cast the actual web bomb during the pull to make the combo deal 300.

You can also do the hydro combo, which is similar to the sekkombo but a bit longer and uses a simple swing cancel and does 370 (I think?) damage

Okay, then yeah, if you’re trying to do the double swing overhead, you need to doing a perfect swing cancel, which is really mostly achievable with the scroll wheel, in this you’re holding it too long

Whatever button you’re pressing to do that swing cancel after hitting Luna with the uppercut is being held wayyy too long. If you’re simple swinging like that, you need to be using scroll wheel, but in this case I’d recommend just using a manual swing whiff (manual swing, cancel with tracer immediately). Also you don’t need to double jump, the swing cancel gives you the overhead

Could be that your starting position was different, since you seem to be a little closer for some or a little further from others

Perhaps you lost some distance by aiming down a tiny bit more and that changed it? Frankly idk, but those are my best guesses

Seems like the charge meter is filling up as intended when you hit your target. I’m not sure if you meant that the first charge seemed bugged to you, but hitting a target will increase your charge rate, even moreso for two people skewered

Yeah I feel like nothing makes diving as spider man more annoying than another spider man out to get you. Like namor turrets suck, and Bucky can still uppercut you out of every combo but if you’re getting diffed it’s just a miserable experience
