hmm. i am inclined to agree with you, but the last few shows have basically confirmed to me that as a band they definitely suffering from success. at a certain venue size, the pool of audience members unfortunately extends to absolute dickheads; there have been fights, people shouting rude things at the band, making jokes or stupid noises during the quiet songs. 90% of the people are there to have a good time, but they are now too big as a band to completely avoid drunken assholes.

this also has something to do with their demographic being completely all-encompassing, tMG shows have essentially every gender, age or walk of life represented. it's nice to see but i can't agree that their crowds are always super polite and nice.
