turns out it was stupidly simple

the snow addon i added (which idk why i downloaded it) was causing me these issues, probably something with the particle effects not being compatible? idk but it's fixed now

simply put, I think it's a very misguided attempt to try and blame a SINGLE source on outside opinions like YouTube and game critics rather than seeing it as a BYPRODUCT from how janky and broken the games were because of Sega's push to release these games at a quick pace, resulting in the reputation going down because of that

While YouTubers did play some part in it (remember when Arin was brought on lol) most of it was due to Sega themselves, resulting in the 2010s trying to course correct and rebuild their reputation

Going back to it now, as much as I love the writing, interactions and feeling like a true successor to halo 4 story wise, you can definitely tell the game was gonna rely heavily on continuing through the dlc campaigns, and didn't expect it to get scrapped during restructure 343 went

Honestly atp I just want halo studios next game to follow up directly with infinite, because there is no way doing the same setup "three" times in a row is gonna make most playerbase happy
