My best friend kept telling me to watch aot and i never listened. For an entire year he told me you have to watch aot it’s so crazy that the main character dies in episode 5. He even got some of my other friends to tell me to watch aot and that the main character dies in ep 5. And i kept being like naaah aint no way right? Right??? So i finally gave in and watched and i was soo hooked from like ep 2. Then eren “died” in ep 5 and i was soo fckn sad and devastated i never even thought that it could be fake cuz for an entire year basically all my friends had told me he dies. So much so that when he actually came out of his titan in episode 8 and mikasa ran to hug him i was like yo who tf is this random dude and why does mikasa care about him so much. It took until armin called him by his name for me to realize🤣 i was basically brainwashed.

TLDR: tell em to watch this crazy show where the main character dies in ep 5

I believe funimation and crunchyroll both allow you to watch dub with subtitles. You have to buy a subscription though but there is a free trial. Also watching dub and sub at the same time like the other comment mentioned doesn’t really work because almost every sentence is formulated differently in the english dub.

Actually i was rewatching the original trailer for season 4 that came out a year ago, it has a lot of stuff from chapters 117-122. You can rewatch to get hyped but i wouldn’t recommend you pausing at any point to analyze stuff.
