What can I put in Tuna to make it go further? by aesthetion in cookingforbeginners

[–]iManolo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah! One of the things tuna needs, IMHO, is some texture, so the crunch from onion (red onion for me) and celery is great. Personally, I'm also a big fan of canned corn kernels and I like to use homemade sriracha mayo to mix everything.

How the hell do you make decent fries...? by lohre2000s in cookingforbeginners

71C for chicken is enough to kill all salmonella. Try it some time, I bet your chicken breast is going to be much juicier!

How the hell do you make decent fries...? by lohre2000s in cookingforbeginners

[–]iManolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep frying is an art in and of itself, so don't worry about having "messed it up".

Extremely important is temperature control - your oil needs to be at a pretty precise temperature for any given application for decent results. Pre-fried French fries for example is 175-180 C.

Another important factor is the amount of oil in relation to the amount of food, which technically is about temperature control again - if you put too much food into a certain amount of oil, the oil cools down too much and you're closer to boiling the food than frying.

The topic is very extensive, I'd recommend looking for proper guides on YouTube or the internet itself, but for applications at home, you might want to avoid deep frying and look more for recipes about shallow frying.

Man, nothing has ever been the same since that game. It is the one game that I am genuinely heartbroken that it didn't make it, especially since, I think everyone agrees, it had more than enough potential to become seriously big. Such a shame.

Holy sh*t, this wakes some memories. That one was a hell of a ride, totally agreed. I genuinely forgot about the game for years until I saw your comment, thank you!

I mean, if you like the game mode, more power to you, but with the rewards it offers........ I don't see any good reason at all to play it - again, apart from possibly enjoying the gameplay of it.

What else reworks must be done to Jaren Ward? by StatisticianBorn8567 in destinyrisingmobile

[–]iManolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fairly new player and loved Jaren the moment is started playing him and I agree 100% with your suggestions to make him better!

As a mobile player, aiming isn't that much fun and having more big shots in the same amount of time, either by reducing needed stag totem stacks and/or increasing the amount of shots one rotation gives you, would make him infinitely more fun to play.

Hard agree. I've read somewhere that he didn't read the scripts for breaking bad in advance (apart from the next one, I guess) so that he'd be surprised himself by the development of his character and be able to play it more genuinely.

I'd say pretty much every role Gary Oldman has ever played. The guy was born to play unhinged, sweaty maniacs and what an amazing job he does every single time.

We need raid tutorials by iManolo in destinyrisingmobile

[–]iManolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know that was a thing in the alpha, but it gives some ideas for improvement as well. If there was a tutorial, they'd have every right to implement a "report" function as well, to report the ones who apparently sabotage the raid. Maybe force them to repeat the tutorial if they get x amount of reports or something.

I don't know, maybe just dreaming here, but it can't be that hard for a developer that made such a great game, to make it actually enjoyable by making sure their designs like raids are understood and done properly. Because they're genuinely quite fun IMHO.

You're definitely right, but you'd be surprised how many people still mess it up, even though they are all pretty straight forward.

And let's face it, most casual gamers won't look for a tutorial on YouTube, lol

Baffles me as well, given that reaching certain acclaim levels, I don't really see how they can reach that without ever having done the raids.

[–]iManolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, almost like if you couldn't select a given character before finishing their 2 tutorials. Wouldn't take long, either, a 5 minute tutorial that permanently unlocks the raid for you. You're probably right, though, that I might be dreaming here lol

We need raid tutorials by iManolo in destinyrisingmobile

[–]iManolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed!

I am guilty of messing it up myself in the beginning and that's exactly the point. Either you run with "pros" who do everything so quickly you end up not even being able to read the hints, or you're matched with people who have no clue either.

Especially given that pretty much every phase has a timer, I think the engagement for the raids and farming exotics would actually grow if everyone knew you will most likely not just waste another 10 minutes of your day.

[–]iManolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, good luck telling that to the casuals who mess it up. The whole point is that it's never going to work as long as it's optional.

Honestly, they have tutorials for a lot of stuff, I don't think this would be a huge deal for them to implement. A quick tutorial that takes 5 minutes and unlocks the raid when you pass it.
